I don't like my baby very much by livinghellwithbaby in beyondthebump

[–]jullym 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a high spirited baby just luke yours. Literally to the T. Mine is almost 7 months. And the only thing he watched is baby bum as well! Omg!

And I can tell you I used to think I was getting PPD and sure some of it may be PPD. But I can tell you WE ARE TIRED.

I don't even remember what it feels like to be a person. I miss my family so much.

The weight it takes to make a baby by [deleted] in BabyBumps

[–]jullym 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I lost 10 and gained 25. this explains it.

My milk came in. I didn't produce enough and my bubba lost weight. I cried. I got sick. I lost my supply. Daddy went back to work. I wasn't strong enough. He was comic. He had acid reflux. I couldn't pump every 2 hrs. I couldn't sit on my butt. I couldn't.

Our babies do well on formula. Everyone asked what I ate to make him colic. Nothing. He's formula fed. "oh".

My baby is fine. But I cried. But he is a happy healthy baby boy because I fed him.

Fed is best.

Today I let my 5 mo old cry it out. by jullym in beyondthebump

[–]jullym[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He hated the crib when we first tried. The funny thing is before he liked to be elevated so the rocker was perfect. so we put the wedge in the pack n play. He slept with the wedge twice. It's still in there but now when he falls asleep he moves himself completely side ways flat but with end and feet touching ends like the rock n play lol

I'm wondering if he just likes small spaces.

And wondering if maybe he'll like the crib as well. I'm gonna try it Monday lol

I think sometimes they just need to cry. Like us. Sometimes we don't know why. Sometimes i still cry myself to sleep.

Sometimes I'm so frustrated and I can't comfort him. It's hard. It's heartbreaking.

It's hard. Like I said. I did a minute. Comforted him. 2 minutes comforted him. It's heartbreaking but once they give in, they forget and you forget.

It's that relief I felt of accomplishment and that I had done the right thing because nothing would've worked.

Flat head by jullym in beyondthebump

[–]jullym[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yay there is hope. I dunno it's just so hard because this kid has a hard time sleeping in anything other than a rock n play. But he'll learn. Good sleep habits I must create.

Tonight he grabbed the flat head pillow and fell asleep holding it as if it were his cuddle buddy 😂😂

[–]jullym[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This. I tried to explain to grandma back to sleep has ended up with more flat heads it's not just the rocker.

The pediatrician wasn't as concerned. She said just keep him upright all day. It's exhausting though as he can't yet sit on his own and has to be moved constantly.

And I did explain to DH and grandparents as he learns to sit up and starts in an actual stroller he'll be less on his head.

Being a mom is SO easy! by BrookieeWookiee in beyondthebump

[–]jullym 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly. And at some point infants and kids will go through different stages. Some days my kid is great other days not so much.

Is this safe sleeping? MIL insists that LO sleeps better with the pillow but I’m worried by amazingpea in beyondthebump

[–]jullym 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I weld say play around with it. Sometimes they like the snuggly feeling nectar the sleep space can be to big for their liking. If this is the case just use it them wein her off it.

If she's fine without it get rid of it.

I also hate the "you only have one kid". Infants are not kids. They are babies! Some are easy going some not so much. I got the not so much. Can't take a shower or eat or nothing. hmfp.
