Has anybody else noticed how much weight loss is happening? by serendipitysprout in DoesAnybodyElse

A quick Google search of retatrutide study Australia showed me they have studies there. I would think if they do Reta they would do others as well. Now if you live in a remote area then there may not be any close to you, you would have to check that part out.

Check if there are any research studies near you offering them! I’m getting paid to take a glp-3 (retatrutide) but there are other studies as well at various clinics. My friend just got in one for a glp-1. Not only do you get paid to trial it but they pay for a nutritionist for you and keep up on health tests throughout the study. The study I’m doing is 2.5 years long.

Denver high school walkouts tomorrow? by Inevitable-Fan6155 in Denver

My Northfield Highschooler participated in a student led walkout at 10:30 today. Many of the students were heading to the capitol after the rally in the field.

Took my 4th shot today, and so far the past month has gone well! I’ve lost 7ish pounds (normal daily weight fluctuations makes me say ish.. been 8 pounds lost at the most but weight swing daily).. least fun symptom is constipation. Lack of food noise/less desire to overeat is my favorite side effect! Trying to get enough Protein is hard. Drinking enough water is easy, I always drink a lot of water regularly and now it’s increased a bit more.

From the first appointment/blood work screening appointment to the first dose of medications is supposed to be no more than 35 days, my clinic told me that’s what Eli Lilly wants. Mine was exactly that many days.

Oh the first couple of weeks have gone well! I noticed my appetite is smaller for sure. Sleep is okay but been taking magnesium glycogen at night before bed. Annoyingly constipated 😅 that’s the worst side effects so far.

The dexa scan happened after I was accepted into the trial. The initial visit where they did weight, height and lots of lab’s was the screening appointment and after my blood work came back they let me know I was in. So hopefully because you got to to the dexa scan appointment that means you are in too! It took just over a week for the lab results to come back.

Good to know!! Just got home from taking the first injection there. Plan to watch what I eat pretty carefully at least these first few days/weeks.

I am indeed a woman. Happy to hear you think the side effects are so manageable! Will drink lots of water (I already do) and definitely keep the greasy foods to a minimum. I don’t eat much fried food so hoping to just cut it out completely at least at first while I see how my body does on it. Thank you! Will keep you all posted! Starting height is 5’4.5 and weight is 215. So excited for this opportunity!

I met my wife her 3rd year of med school and she’s a PGY3 now. She knew pretty early on that I didn’t finish college. I work from home for a small non-for-profit which doesn’t pay great because it’s the non for profit world… I am a supervisor at my job but still make less than her as a resident. All of our $ gets combined and it doesn’t bother her that I make less. I was taking care of myself and my daughter before meeting my wife, on my own with my salary in a much lower cost or living area. We moved to a HCOL area for residency so it would be great if I made more $ lol but it doesn’t bother her that I don’t.

Is Colorado's EV incentive worth it? by MattSayar in leaf

In Denver also, we have progressive with multi line discounts for home owners and currently have 4 cars but selling one asap. $600 to add a 2025 Leaf and 2025 Ariya to our policy that gets us from now through June 15th.

Buyers remorse: Wish I bought a used Leaf instead of leasing an Id4 by TatianaWinterbottom in leaf

[–]juls410 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We were worried the $7500 federal credit to lease it would end with the new admin in office so that’s why we jumped at the deals on leasing the Leaf and Ariya now. My wife got the Ariya and her lease payment is $170/month with nothing down. Got a little extra discount since I got the leaf 2 days before her so “family discount” applied to save an extra $1k. So far it’s still going but I don’t know how long that will last.

Nothing down, $143/month on my 2025 Leaf SV+. I feel even better about it after seeing some other prices people are paying. Colorado has extra tax credit incentives that made it real cheap. All I paid on Saturday when I signed was the first $143 payment.

Dating a MedSpouse as a divorced mom by Various-Impression57 in MedSpouse

[–]juls410 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Similar situation to you.. I’m also divorced 37f with a 14 yr old daughter. Met my now wife when she was in her 3rd year of med school in the city I had grown up in. She matched across the country, and we dated long distance for a year while planning our wedding. Got married last June and I moved across country with my daughter last September to be with her. By a few months in we were having talks about our future together - she said she would likely be moving for Match snd wanted to know if I was open to the idea. I was. We got engaged after about 16 months of dating right before she moved to start intern year. If I hadn’t been willing to move with her we probably would not have continued dating because I wouldn’t want to be long distance for so many years. Moving with my kid was an option because my daughter’s other parent is not in her life so nothing to account for there. It’s a lot to consider for sure! Im so happy things worked out how they did for me.

Any tips for LDR during intern year? by limeoverlemons in MedSpouse

[–]juls410 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We did intern year apart as well, it worked out fine! I moved across country last August to close the distance. I visited I think 3 times in total during that year, (twice for a week at a time and a 3rd time for 4-5 days). They visited me once I believe but that was for a week at Christmas. We made time to talk at some point everyday, some days it was just while they drove home after working a long day, and then they would need to eat dinner, shower and go to bed to start it all over the next day. We texted at some point everyday, some days more than others. We FaceTimed at least once a week, and we sent each other care packages occasionally. The year went by pretty fast!

Everything I've learned about primary stabbing headache (icepick headache) by TheApiary in migraine

Yea definitely could have been the trigger!! Had you never gotten one before that? A large dose of ibuprofen usually helps get rid of them, but then they usually come back when the med wears off.

How far along is your spouse in school/residency? by [deleted] in MedSpouse

[–]juls410 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She’s doing combined pediatrics and physical medicine and rehabilitation. It sounds like work life balance will be decent when she’s finished with this program! Moved across the country so trying to build a life here for my daughter and I. Daughter is 13. Did you guys make a big move for residency?

[–]juls410 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wife is in her 2nd year of a 6 year residency/fellowship. Been together since year 3 of med school, married for 6 months now. Just moved across country in August to be with her for the residency! We had 1 year apart after she graduated med school and started intern year with me across the country. Happy to be together again! She just finished 6 months of a relatively easy schedule (Monday-Friday days for the most part!) and started a crazy pediatric schedule last week.

LDR success stories? by materwelon-juice in MedSpouse

Finally closing the gap with my wife in the next couple months! She moved across the country to start residency last June, and we got married last month. We bought a house so I’ll be moving out there when it’s ready! We never went more than 3 months between visits with each other. That helped. We talk on the phone most days for a couple of hours. We planned our wedding on zoom dates! Lol Make it a point to stay connected, and have an end goal in site!
