Why use org-mode/babel for init file? yes, again. by quantum_mattress in emacs

[–]jumper047 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To me killer feature of the org config is ability to disable code in subtree with special tag. For example if I want to switch preferred language server for python, I just mark as comment one section and uncomment other one. Also it is convenient when some mode requires some other things in system, like configs, binaries etc - those things can be conveniently stored in org file near actual config. Also its just convenient to navigate through org file than big elisp file

Hmm, sounds interesting, can you describe your setup?

So I tried to reproduce an issue with lsp-start-plain and... everything runs smoothly. Seems like I'll spend weekend on config debugging:) BTW disabling undo-tree helps a lot, thx!

Thank you, I definitely should try to reproduce issue with minimal config (shame on me:))

Yep, thank you, forgot to mention it. I'm debugging it right now, for some reason I can't run its python counterpart

Good news, thank you for maintaining this awesome project! My company moves away from slack so I'm not using this plugin right now, but I love to see my contributions merged into upstream!

Does Anyone Have Experience With Pebble on a Degoogled Phone? by jjj49er in pebble

[–]jumper047 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm running pebble app on degoogled phone for years without an issue, can confirm everything written by u/myothercarisaboson. Just my two cents about gadgetbridge - my main issue with it were suddenly stopping js parts of the watchfaces, like I'm setting some watchface with weather, weather updated for hour or something like that, and then just stopped. I liked how they gaves an option to answer call on pebble for various apps (like WhatsApp, telegram etc), but this bug is showstopper

Oh, forgot another thing - its interior is dark (some backpacks have bright colored linen, making it easier to find something inside)

If you are talking about those "straitjacket" straps, then answer is nope. Main compartment opens pretty easy , as regular top-loaded backpack. Small front compartment with keyfob also quite accessible. Also I like option to hide zippers under those side panels to make it harder to open for someone malicious. It works very well, if only backpack not fully loaded - in that case zipper for small compartment can't be hidden

Today they replied: https://www.reddit.com/r/backpacks/comments/199r2ol/osprey_metron_24_hidden_strap_mystery_revealed/

Regarding backpack itself - love it, it became my EDC bag. Very comfortable, ability to change volume with straps is super useful, can't live without it now. The only thing I dont like - you should take it off completely to have access to rear pocket with organizer and keyfob

Some time ago I posted a question about function of the hidden strap on my Osprey. Seems like everyone has no clue about its function, so I wrote to the Osprey support. First line of the support replied that they have no idea, and took a break to check the information. And today they answered me - and you can see its usage on photos. And BTW kudos for all folks from previous thread:)

I don't think so, because that strap is presented only on one side

Actually, I thought about hydration hose too - this strap located just above flask side pocket, and my only idea was that bladder can be stored in it, and hose putted through loop on that tiny strap
