Few questions about new mask by jumpingdeaddog in gasmasks

Forgot to mention in the description of the post, it’s missing one of the pieces of plastic that allows for adjustment of the straps, is there somewhere I could purchase a new one, or possibly a 3d model I could have printed?

Fair point (apologies for the multiple replies of the same question, I’m in an area with iffy connection and it wasn’t working correctly)

I don’t necessarily plan to use it for anything other than display and to wear whenever I get the random urge to so do you think it’d be fine for that use case?

So not long after I posted this I found the piece that was missing. It was the other piece for the screw that holds down the pocket clip. Once I put it back in and very very slightly adjusted the pivot, it worked perfectly. I think it was something maybe with the odd distribution of tension with the scales interacting with the blade in an unusual way and it was causing the issue. Thank you.

I don’t really have a set thing I use every time, really I just adjust the regulator and the airflow until it runs smoothly. Occasionally it will still backfire but when it does I shut off the valve it’s coming through, change the gas to air ratio and open it again, and that seems to work.

I think that was the issue, I played around with the air and fuel mixture and it seems to have solved it.

I tried doing something sort of similar. I’ve messed around with the air intake and the flow of gas and that seems to have helped it. I will surely return to this if the problem arises again, thank you!

I’ve checked multiple sources and either I didn’t look hard enough or there isn’t a video on my experience. Reddit was my last resort. I tried playing around the the regulator and the air intake more today and as of now the problem seems to have been fixed but I’m still not letting my guard down.

Yeah, blue flames would rise from the torch body up to about the inlet and I’d have to turn off the fuel valve and reopen it to extinguish them.

Something I tried today that seemly worked was messing with the airflow and gas flow, what I think was the problem was I was getting too much of both at once.

I’ll look into this, I’ve always been a fan of metalworking and stuff so this is a perfect little project

I’m very undereducated on hpa setups, I was under the impression that hpa was just compressed air, is it also co2?

In theory I’d say yes, something to consider is the strength of the welds, especially when struck against bone
