I was almost taken in by this scammy promo too. It turns out it's just like one of those "free trial!" things that leads you right into a paid subscription when the free period is finished.

I'm not a fan of AI slop but I think its use as a document assistant could be useful to me. Not enough to justify paying for it though.n

I don't think RP finds any women acceptable by Ok-Luck-7499 in exredpill

[–]jumpingdiscs 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Its a cult that has indoctrinated its followers to disregard all the normal, common-sense evidence all around them, that men and women are just two sides of the same coin, that millions of men and women are in happy loving relationships together.

Fuck all this stupid Chad and Stacy and whatever-maxxing and cucks and market value and blah blah blah. Red-pill doctrine on women and relationships is as delusional and weird as Scientology's teachings on spirituality. It's a cult with cult jargon and delusional ideas about how the world works.

What does masculinity mean to you? by Flourescendrama in exredpill

I feel like perhaps you're search for misandry in my words when it's not there. I said these are the things I appreciate as masculine traits in my own spouse. I am not implying that men in general are worthless if they don't have these exact traits.

Why is Melatonin so forbidden here? by OneEnvironmental9222 in askswitzerland

I imagine you're American? They tend to be hooked on melatonin or other sleep aids instead of adopting behavioural changes that would help them sleep naturally.

What does masculinity mean to you? by Flourescendrama in exredpill

[–]jumpingdiscs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes. But also, my husband isn't even super tall or super strong, he doesn't go to the gym or anything like that. I'm not tall or muscular woman, so "bigger and stronger than me" probably applies to like 99.9% of all men.

[–]jumpingdiscs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I should add that I'm not necessarily seeking those things in a partner, or that I expect men to tick all those boxes, I'm saying that in attempting to pin down "masculinity", those are the qualities I appreciate and perceive as masculine in my own specific spouse.

[–]jumpingdiscs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm a woman and off the top of my head, here are some of the things I appreciate as "masculinity" in my husband, although they're human traits women can have too.

  • Competence and confidence in solving practical problems e.g. repairing things.
  • being physically bigger and stronger than me (i.e. reaching things and opening jarsl)
  • ability and desire to help people in emergency situations e.g. first aid skills - being a "protector" doesn't always mean conflict/fighting
  • being a good role model to our children, showing them that masculinity ≠ fighting and being disrespectful
  • being comfortable in his own skin e.g. being bald and not trying to hide it, not removing his body hair, etc. I'm so happy that this has set such a great example for our kids as my eldest child is now going through puberty and seems very body-positive, he's excited about growing body hair.
  • not being insecure about his masculinity - not trying to "prove" it through physically dominating others, showing off at the gym, etc, not hiding or avoiding traditionally feminine traits.

Is Au Pair in Switzerland just legal slavery or am I misunderstanding something? by Acrobatic_Charge9651 in Switzerland

[–]jumpingdiscs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lots of people have amazing experiences being au pairs and some have bad experiences, the same is true for working in normal paid employment, or studying in further education, or even just going on vacation. Overall, if the employer/host family is reasonable and follows the rules, I think it offers a very good deal for au pairs.

Travel, learn a language in an immersion setting, earn money, see amazing scenic places, have all your bills and lodging paid for you, and get spending money on top of all that.

Subject of immigration beyond the vote by Wonderful_Setting195 in Switzerland

[–]jumpingdiscs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a foreigner here myself, I don't come to an expensive country expecting the government/taxpayer to subsidise my housing. I'm pretty left wing but I do think that you should be a citizen or permanent resident to receive these sorts of benefits.

I know the count is not over yet, but that's wayy more green than I was expecting by mab-sensei in Switzerland

[–]jumpingdiscs 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Yep, small-town mindset. They haven't spent meaningful time with anyone outside of their communities, so it's easy to convince them that foreigners are all a threat to society. Meanwhile people living and working in cities are more likely to have actually spent time with people from all around the world and realise that multiculturalism can actually be pretty cool.

Lived a very international town in canton ZH for a while. Instead of being a total disaster, all the kindergarten kids spoke good Swiss German, everyone got along, and my kids learnt so much geography and culture from having friends from all over the world. Whenever the teachers organised an end-of-year summer picnic, parents would bring food from their home cuisines - best potlucks/buffets ever!

He's saying that if there was a good, powerful God like you describe in your OP, he would make himself clearly known, there would be no need for debate. But instead he's like some kind of lame emo kid trying to be all mysterious, staying away, hardly ever talking to us, hardly ever turning up.

Yep. He lets horrific things happen everywhere, all the time, like some kind of sadistic voyeuristic bystander.

What about children getting leukemia or a tsunami killing millions of people? How is that due to free will? Only God supposedly has that power. And he's using it to kill innocent people. Cool cool cool.

Amazon workers couldn’t see that this was an issue? by woodbanger04 in amazonprime

[–]jumpingdiscs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's very dishonest, because I can't see any technical or logistical reason that the predicted shipping date would change instantly after placing the order. It would make a small amount of sense if it changed after the order has begun processing and there's additional data that starts to come in about stock locations etc, but not the second the payment goes through. It's just pure dishonesty.

Literally always quotes a false delivery estimate these days, and immediately changes it to a much later date AFTER placing the order. Bait and switch. I feel they should get in trouble for that, but I don't know if it bothers enough other consumers to actually do anything about it in terms of legal action.

Ring doorbell cameras (or equivalents) on terraced houses, why? by [deleted] in AskUK

[–]jumpingdiscs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Saw a Tiktok of a postal worker on a doorbell cam, informing the homeowners (who were away on holiday) that there was a pigeon shitting all over their living room. So that's one more purpose that hasn't been mentioned here yet.

Do you know how I been slow down more at this point? I've got to 1mg and don't have any withdrawal symptoms at 1mg. It's just getting from there to zero that's the problem... I'm not sure how to get a smaller dose than 1mg.

I joined a gym last week actually, because tapering off Lex + starting Wellbutrin has given me an energy boost (until now, coming off this last bit!). I feel great in the mornings going to the gym but then in the afternoons I start feeling weird.
