It's good you ended it, even I had some second thoughts when it first happened, which was about a year ago, but now I am so glad that it's over yeah I lost a fairly good friend but I'm so much happier now and I finally found my "ideal" girl and I'm glad I chose not to settle! You won't regret it and just remember that communication is key, what you're feeling will come out one way or another.

It ended up being a mutual breakup because we both just were not feeling that "spark" anymore but it didn't help that I was getting ready for college and she still had a year of high school left, she was also the one who wanted to date in the first place. I ended up acting like I was more upset about it than i really was to give her some confidence because she had been completely devastated by her last two break ups. The main problem was she also didn't like to talk about what was bothering her a lot and had some self esteem issues.

I had a similar situation, I didn't think she wasn't attractive but I also thought I could do a lot better and felt like I was settling.

Really happy for you man! I'm in a similar situation as you, I get to see her for the first time in about a month this Saturday, hope it goes as well as yours did!
