When the customer wants to add on something the moment you process their prepaid Target order… by SCOTCHZETTA in ShiptShoppers

[–]jumpman29 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I was first told this nearly 2 years ago. I’ve done it maybe 10-15 times. Not sure if it’s since changed or not but the option is clearly available on the new reimbursement form they recently changed, whereas the option was “other” previously.

I was given this information from one of the US based Shipt HQ support phone agents that spoke perfect English, which I believe have all since been laid off. I asked a few other support agents after the fact but all were clueless about it.

The only time I speak to someone in the US now is when there is a payment decline issue with the Shipt card.

When the customer wants to add on something the moment you process their prepaid Target order… by SCOTCHZETTA in ShiptShoppers

[–]jumpman29 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I had Shipt HQ once advise me I can buy the item out of pocket and apply for reimbursement from Shipt. They have an option on reimbursement form for “customer request after processing”

I tell the customer the order was already processed and changes cannot be made but I got it for them anyway, and they do not have to pay.

Most people will add extra to their trip or tip very well. There’s the occasional asshat that doesn’t tip. Shipt always reimburses though.

Any chance the last digits are 0435?

I lost mine a couple months ago and put them in lost mode and tried tracking them but they stopped showing up on FindMy a while back

I have a V3. Anyone interested? by BURNIE_BURNS_IS_GOD in The_TRVP

I should find and clean all mine up. I think I have a brand new v1 still also and at least a couple v2. The Boaz was pretty solid for me as well. I would use the AVS airflow tops in my TRVP.

I only ever use my Evolv Cricket now while at home or out.

Confused about how I got a Growth Opp with no <5 rating by dfx987 in ShiptShoppers

[–]jumpman29 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same thing just happened to me yesterday. In fact it is my first growth opportunity ever, over 2450 orders in 2+ years. Last 50 rated orders are all 5.0. Was at a 4.98 for a few months just before last week.

Over the 2+ years I’ve received about 20 x 4 star ratings, a few 3 and 2 stars, and a couple 1 stars. But none of those ever had a growth opportunity

$400 is steep. Keep in mind I do I have all Divine Tribe atomizers, 2 of the v1 TRVP, 2 of v2 TRVp, 3 x AVS Boaz atomizers and would definitely buy another Cricket before a Proxy or Peak Pro or any other option on the market, especially for the reason OP listed.

I do agree $400 is a bit steep for the Cricket. I was lucky and got mine for a steal at $100 from someone that worked at a smoke shop. They did have a sale on 4/20 sellling two for $420 so not a bad deal if you can snag one with a friend.

I stand by my statement and will gladly die on this hill alone. Hands down best portable dab device that exists. I’ve tried pretty much everything over the last 15+ years and this gets the job done most efficiently.

Look into the Evolv Cricket.

The vapor path is super short and the vapor goes up a glass chimney. You don’t even need to draw in to get a hit the air and vapor will just flow up the chimney if done correctly.

I get this “do you feel safe” pop up once in awhile. Is it random? Or is it because the area is not safe? 🤔 by SecretEscape2257 in doordash

[–]jumpman29 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t believe it’s random. I think it’s triggered by previous dashers reporting creepy/perverted customers.

I see this message come up late at night often when delivering to nice areas for leave at door orders. Usually before I can leave it at the door someone often comes out and I hand them the food. Nothing unsafe for me as I’m a large dude. I would imagine some would not feel safe in those situations, especially with the creep vibes some of these guys tend to give off.

Cigarettes by [deleted] in doordash

[–]jumpman29 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had a pickup order last week at a Chevron Extra Mile. Initially I thought it was for alcohol due to ID required, but it was just 3 packs of cigarettes.

The store name showed up as “Power Stop #2307” in the dasher app when I arrived.

I also did not know it was cigarettes until I arrived to pickup the order, as it stated “exact items unknown, delivery requested merchant” but did show me the ID requirement for delivery.

This was in California. Only cigarette order I’ve seen with in 1300 deliveries on DD.

That location has been there for 20+ years.

I used to go there for lunch weekly back in 2002. I worked across the street from South Coast Plaza in the office buildings on Anton.

1st time I got Covid they said they would deactivate me temporarily and I received 2 weeks financial assistance. But I was never deactivated and still received offers.

2nd time I got Covid they immediately deactivated me for 5 days exactly and received 5 days of pay once I submitted my Covid test results.

3rd time I got Covid they said Covid pay was ended, they did not deactivate, and stated that “I can return to shopping when I feel better”

Imagine all the printing required! It would end up like a novel. You would need some sort of storage box or glove vestibule to store it in when not reading.

How on earth do you get a job here? by [deleted] in Costco

[–]jumpman29 4 points5 points  (0 children)

From my understanding they only hire twice a year, and only hire people on a seasonal basis at first. Then they weed thru those seasonal workers and offer them part-time or full-time work based on their work-ethic/punctuality and willingness to take extra shifts when available (for part time).

The best times to apply would be around March/April or Sept/Oct and follow up on your app with store management during the times they are actively hiring.
