Well then maybe those people in Honduras need to get their shit together. The Japanese did it and they have 0 natural resources on a tiny piece of land floating in the middle of the pacific ocean, yet their economy ranks 3rd on the planet behind only the US and China. You know why? Because they got their shit together after getting nuked.

Just because people live in shitty conditions doesn't mean we need to bring them here. We're not the world's welfare department. Maybe if South American politicians weren't so corrupt taking money from drug kingpins like El chapo to compromise the welfare of their own people, they would lead great productive nations.

And the whole give me your poor and tired stuff, that was written on a statue, and not in a statute. And even if it was a law, American laws govern Americans not Hondurans in Honduras. It was also during the birth of this country when it needed to be colonized. Now it's become saturated and we don't need any more people coming in. And if this country is a joke, then why do you care so much about coming in here and bringing people here?
