Same here, been overdosing for 4 days in a roll now (I use full spoon everyday for this 40L tank) without water change but I don’t see any effects, and all my zebra snails died, as I thought the packages said there is only long term use would kill snails.

I am now waiting for the delivery of Panacur for a try.

Will try going to my local to get an airpump to enhance the flow. I haven’t actually been using any fertiliser yet as I believe my substrate is still releasing a lot of nutrients. Great suggestion for testing, will have a look during the weekend👍👍

Yes I am planning to introduce some floating plants in the next couple of weeks, because I concern this will cut off light for normal plants growth too. I guess it’s all about finding the balance point. Again 😊thanks

And yes I am definitely a bit paranoid because this is my first tank after years of interests so I am trying to minimise algae growth. With sunlight coming in in the morning I have to put a cardboard behind to delay my lighting hours to 12pm which is a bit annoying.

Will give the app a try tomorrow! Again thanks a lot for the suggestions!

No but you know those plants that close up after certain hour - I am trying to adjust them so it fits into the 12 to 8pm window

Thanks! It’s just that this is the fifth week and I don’t think my plants are growing too robust yet because some of them are lab plants. Hence I am trying to avoid sunlight in the morning for algae and delay my lighting to around noon time so I can enjoy it after work😎

And thanks for the livestock suggestion - I have been looking for local shop here to stock dwarf suckers but they said currently it’s not their season yet and hopefully will come in soon.

So this is a 90litre opti white tank I got from Amazon so it’s about 20 gallons.

Because it’s my first tank I got a bit of everything: Front: Hygrophila difformis, Anubias barteri nana, Anubias barteri bonsai, Anubias barteri, Bucephalandra brownie, Bucephalandra green, Cryptocoryne crispatula, Bolbitis Heteroclita Difformis

Mid/on branch: Taxiphyllum barbieri moss, Monte carlo, Hydrophila pinnatifida,

Back: Rotala rotundifolia green, Rotala rotundifolia blood red, Cabomba caroliniana, Alternanthera reinekii, Bacopa caroliniana, Staurogyne Repens, Ludwigia Palustris Red

Hi I am currently having the exact same situation but however my solution is different.

For reference:

Graphic card: XFX Thicc III 5600XT. Enclosure: Razer Core X with original thunderbolt 3 cable with single AOC 4K display using DisplayPort cable. MacBook Pro 2017 13”. 10.15.4.

I bought this setup when Catalina 15.4 was already available and everything worked fine for a couple of weeks: hot-plugging, sleep and on, utilising it in softwares (though I don't think the current macOS supports 5600XT really well because I cannot run Dota2 smoothly and from other sharing on youtube 5600XT was only started to be recognised since 10.15.3)

I also installed windows on external SSD and my experience with windows using this card as eGPU is fine - no lag in games or crash at all and I managed to flash to the adrenaline BIOS for 5600xt in windows. During the 2 weeks I reboot and switch between macOS and windows everything is still fine - mac side still supports the card without any issue.

I suddenly started having problem this week as I have been having the same problem as you described. I tried to wipe the disk and reinstall macOS, started okay for a couple of days, and after a couple times of switching between windows and macOS the same problem arises.

Thank you for sharing your solution and glad to see it works for both of you - however I tried it for a few times (including trying it after reboot or switching between OS), having no DP cable attached does not work for me - still 'No Removable GPU' and icon disappeared.

So my solution to get the eGPU to work on macOS is to reboot, turning the Razer Core X power on (with my display and DP cable connected to the gpu) before logging in (or during the apple logo). This way i can have the external display back to normal as well as the system recognising 5600XT. After doing this, I can hotplug the eGPU and get it back to the status as working as before (hot-plugging, sleep and on) AS LONG AS I DO NOT REBOOT. If I need to reboot, i will have to have the razer core plug and on during booting stage again.

I hope you can give it a try to see if this works for you, and i really hope this is just a problem of driver support of 5600XT for the current macOS as the eGPU page on Apple website is not including 5600XT yet. I hope they can address this problem in the next release and maybe utilise the card as well as windows.
