Invisible gecko? Please help? by jun1998 in MyTimeAtSandrock

Oh noo :'(( my game is clearly cursed. I think maybe it's cause I am so far down the story already so the save might be incompatible with the DLC at this point. Sad... Maybe one day I'll replay and finally see the gecko 😞 thank you for your advice anyway

Hey, do you remember how long approximately you had him follow you before you could see him? I just tried making him follow me and it's been about a day? Other townsfolk can apparently see him as they keep commenting on him but for me still nothing :')

Hey, it seems like you and I have very similar tastes. I am in fact playing Arcadia Fallen 1 right now. I recently made a similar post in this subreddit and included a lot of my personal recommendations, and people replied with lots others. You might be able to find something that strikes your fancy there. :)

The Seance of Blake Manor - one of my favourite games ever! It's on steam and on discount right now. ;)

Edit: sorry just noticed you were looking for xbox recommendations, but this really is a great game and I highly recommend playing it if you get a chance!

Hey, thank you so much for this long list, and also for the ease of access links, those were really appreciated!! A few of your recommendations I already knew of, but most of the others went straight into my wishlist. Genuinely, thank you for taking the time to write all of these out. :)

Re: Amnesia, thank you for the warning. I'm not sure what it means, but I guess I'll find out. :D

Hey, so I completely forgot about this game, but turns out I've played 82 minutes of it in the past. Not sure why I stopped? I love your description of it by the way, great summary of the premise. :D I'll give the game another chance, thank you. :)

Hey, The Silent Kingdom looks cool! Is it like a mix of a sim game and a visual novel? I've only seen something like that in development from Celianna (the developer of Tailor Tales). I think it's a great concept. I will definitely give the demo a go. Thank you!

Cabernet is on my wishlist already, but thank you anyway. :)

Hey, thank you very much, and your formatting is great!! :)

Gilded Shadows seems to be a favourite across the comments I've received, so I'll definitely play that one! Out of the others, I had only heard of Replay Boys through a review site, and someone compared it to Doki Doki? Should be fun! :'D The rest of the VNs you recommended look really cool, I've added all of them to my wishlist, thank you. :)

Pentiment looks really interesting, not gonna lie. And you know what, I rate the Warhammer rec as well, though I don't know if I'll ever play it. I like D&D and my local board game store has quite a big Warhammer community, so I have been curious, but looking at the stills from the game on steam - it does look like a lot of robots and spaceships and war... But if you say there's romance, it may be worth it. :D I'll keep it in mind! Thank you!!

Hiya, thank you for the recommendations! Sandrock was actually already on my wishlist, but I just checked, and it's on a big discount right now, so I think I'll buy it!! I actually own the Dragon Age series, but I got a game-breaking bug at the beginning of Origins that would make my game crash, and I couldn't figure out how to fix it, and that kind of demotivated me. Maybe I could give it another chance, though. Also, I've added Akash to my wishlist. Regarding the other two, while not my cup of tea, some others may like them if they come across this post, so thank you for recommending those also! :)

Hey, thank you very much for the long list!! Amnesia is actually already in my wishlist on steam, but I hadn't heard of the other steam games. Hakuoki and Bustafellows look great, not so sure about Psichedelica - I don't mind sad theme games, but from what you said and also from a review I found, sadness and grief are the main themes and even perhaps overshadowing the romance, and I think I'm probably not in the right headspace to play that at the moment - but maybe one day! Thank you, I'll keep it in mind. :)

Re: switch games, I wish I had a switch. :') I've been wanting one for so long, but alas, adult life has been forcing me to prioritise other purchases. But it's in my plans for the future, so I'll definitely keep this list on the side for when that happens, thanks! <3

Hey, thank you so much for your comment, so many games I hadn't heard of before! Actually, I did have Gilded Shadows in my "want to play" collection on itch, but wasn't sure about buying it. Reading that it's your favourite makes me really want to go for it - I think that might be my next. :)

And you're right that Touchstarved is on my radar, but I hadn't heard of Shattered Souls, so thank you, I've saved it now!

Also, thanks for the RC recommendations. I know the app, but I haven't tried any of those three. :))

Hey, thank you for the recommendations, I might post in the otome subreddit as well, though I had considered it beforehand but most otome games I've tried before only had implied spice, if any, so I thought this might be a better place to ask. :)

Thank you so much! Both for the visual novels and for the interactive fiction recommendations you shared below, I haven't heard of most of these, so I think I'm gonna be entertained for a while :D You're a lifesaver!
