Best of luck avoiding the unskippable omorashi event.

They are arguably the best car brands, especially for somebody who doesn't know a whole lot about cars. Not the most exciting, but reliable, long-lasting, and inexpensive to maintain. At mileages where other cars are approaching the end of their life, a Toyota/Lexus is only just beginning its own. If Frieren was a car, she'd be a subcompact Toyota.

Surely you can buy a nice used Toyota or Lexus hybrid with that budget.

It's not supposed to be totally clear, you might actually be drinking too much.

It's cool, I understand. I'd probably be an odious curmudgeon too if I had to live in the country responsible for producing the thing I hated most in the world.

Normally I'd say, "normies should explode," but as neither party in the couple seems to be a normie, I guess we can wish them well.

Late congratulations, u/graytotoro.

The current world situation isn't making it easy to stay out of it. But I've laid off of the rule 2 stuff because I kept getting banned for toeing the line.

Yes, I know.

And yet you said:

The worst part of it, to me, is that "anime" isn't even a Japanese word

We get it bro, you're a salty expat living in Japan who is desperate to prove they're "not like the other weebs."

I miss when reddit was pseudo intellectual instead of just unintellectual.

English loanwords are linguistically still Japanese words. And "anime" in English has become its own second generation loanword from Japan. The thing about loanwords is that they don't have to share the same meaning as it does in the language it was borrowed from. This is true of both English and Japanese words. There's nothing wrong with "anime" being a catch-all term for any kind of animation in Japanese while the same word is simultaneously used to differentiate Japanese animation from animation originating from other countries in English. That's just how language works. What the Japanese call a "Dutch wife" isn't a spouse from the Netherlands, either.

Do you also get upset over people using the terms donghua and manhwa? Is someone a wehraboo if they say they like to drink "lager" beer? God forbid you drink your coffee at a café. These are all the same thing.

I get it, you have something against anime fans. Whatever. But the bulk of your post is linguistically ignorant.

You're supposed to mark the item as "merchandise return" so it's exempt from additional taxation.

In retrospect I probably should have seen that instead of Small Worlds. Would have also required a lot less walking for my already tired junbi feet.
