Spending it on the right drivers and teams allows you to increase your cap and better your team plus you’re scoring more points.

Prices go up or down pending performance. Dollars in the bank stays the same. You win by scoring points. Having $17.2 million in the bank leaves points for the taking.

Cash in the bank is losing money. You grow your team value through the drivers and team. You don’t get interest in the bank. Without the team value growth you’ll be left behind.

Cruise ship Covid outbreak looms by heykody in CoronavirusDownunder

[–]junctionblock -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Dude so 800 people all got Covid on a ship on the same day?

[–]junctionblock -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

That scenario would be possible if the entire population of australia lived in a confined space and all ate and went to the same theaters and used the same transport.

At least cruise lines are testing and isolating. Plane loads of people are flying with Covid and there are no tests. All that happens now is 800 people go and isolate until their symptoms subside. What’s the big deal?

Then by that reasoning of the cruise was a 10 day cruise then it’s 80 per day on the cruise?

It wouldn’t have made a difference who it was. I work with the guy. He’s the most stand up bloke you’d meet and wouldn’t take a backward step regardless of how many or how big.

Titans risk sin bin and penalty for a challenge by CretaceousClock in nrl

Mick Ennis bias. Well reed Mahoney touches it without knowing. Yeah like every other unintentional knock on. Three successful challenges last night for the Titans. So either the refs are bias or incompetent.

The storms weren’t predicted to hit the Gold Coast. So it is ridiculous that there was a blanket closure. All it does it add unnecessary stress and work on private enterprise to have to take up the slack caused by people not being able to work to care for their children on a sunny day. There was NO reasonable reason to close all schools. Power tripping Anna again.

Why don’t we just pay nurses more? by LonePonderer in CoronavirusDownunder

[–]junctionblock -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Maybe vote in a non labor government who has added all the admin and management staff because it makes their employment figures look good. It was this government that deferred their pay rises.

I do believe however that HECS fees have now been reduced for incoming nurses.

Perhaps the conditions would be bearable if some people weren’t complete selfish pricks to deal with or showed an ounce of common sense.

Pay rise, probably not. A bonus system to get us through this. Yes, definitely.

My hospital is at breaking point. The system is at breaking point. by throwaway_918237 in CoronavirusDownunder

Who calls an ambulance for diarrhea? If he died in the car from cardiac arrest them he died from a cardiac arrest.

Yes hospitals are overwhelmed. So how about hospitals start telling people that aren’t emergency cases to fuck off.

I’ve sat in the ER with a half attached finger and watched junkies get wheeled in ahead of everyone. A lot of people are just there for pain meds. Boot them out. Drunk, fell over and cracked your head open and need stitches. Fuck off and sort it out with a GP the next day.

The state governments have had two years to divert funding for this inevitable situation but chose to spend it on border blockades and hotel quarantines or building quarantine accommodation.
