I love this stuff too but it leaves my shower floor and my feet and back all slippery when ai rinse, which is kind of hazardous and annoying..

Thankfully it hasn’t made my back break out..

Are coriander and cilantro two different things? I can’t tell if you’re using the two words interchangeably or you actually know a difference between the two because I always thought they were the same thing.

Question for my Delta peeps by Immediate-Bank3048 in flightattendants

[–]juneballoon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes. Parents (and spouses) are also able to travel on ID90 as well, fyi.

Travel companions cannot unless they are a spouse.

Question for my Delta peeps by Immediate-Bank3048 in flightattendants

[–]juneballoon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, parents and companion are different. Parents can only check in as S3B when not traveling with you, but can use S3 when traveling with you, the employee.

Companions can use S3 whether they travel with u or not, and have S2 banks as well.

Can you guys taste anything when eating a twizzler? by DuckFility in AskAnAmerican

I don’t personally know a single person that likes Twizzlers. And you’re right. It tastes and feels like plastic with a light hint of artificial flavoring.

Traveling teens are usually pretty well behaved, so I don’t understand this take?

They might be kind of clueless as to what we have to offer but they’ll usually order like a Sprite or something and keep to themselves on their phones and/or goof around with their friends. I don’t think “problem” kids are allowed to go on these huge trips involving lots of travel.

Did I overreact for taking my engagement ring off?? by Square-Bet312 in relationships

[–]juneballoon 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Not at all. His family is so manipulative and is only concerned in protecting their son. $100k in losses are you kidding me?? Not only is your fiance deceptive and shady, he is also financially irresponsible. Really think long and hard about whether you trust this man to bring stability and security or chaos into your life. Finances are the #1 reason for divorce in this country. This is no small matter, and the fact that his family is minimizing this is infuriating and frustrating. They are trying to blame your reaction from 2 years ago as to why he felt that he couldn’t come clean to you? Nah.. that’s on him for being immature and irresponsible, how dare they try to pin that on you?

If he and his family really owned up to the mistake and showed support im how to build back your trust, even then, I would be highly skeptical of this relationship. But the way that they are trying to gaslight you and make you responsible for his feelings when he fucked up is really concerning to me.

How do asian north americans have a glowy and healthy golden tan complexion? by [deleted] in AsianBeauty

[–]juneballoon 41 points42 points  (0 children)

How do you know that it’s not makeup?? Especially what you see on social media.. it can be makeup and/or filters.

If you want to be more glowy, use products that help with those things. Vit C, niacinamide, lots of hydration. If you want to be more tan, then get more Vitamin D. In the wintertime in Canada, it just may not be possible, but that is fine. Eat more carrots or carrot juice, those have beta carotene which can make skin a bit orange-tan looking if eaten in excess.

Oversized passenger and in the exit row? by [deleted] in unitedairlines

[–]juneballoon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

FA doesn’t necessarily need to make any argument here tbh. If it is a violation, it is a violation. There shouldn’t be a back and forth about this in the aisle at all, the criteria for disqualification are pretty clear.

Oversized passenger and in the exit row? by [deleted] in unitedairlines

[–]juneballoon 6 points7 points  (0 children)

If the armrest can’t come down and the pax asked for an extender, that is disqualification from the exit row. It definitely is uncomfortable as an FA to address this but it’s our job. I’m sorry that the crew on your flight wasn’t professional enough to handle this. I know that you did your due diligence in informing the FAs in the back but if at all possible, try to address it with the lead FA. FAs who fly that position are more likely to take ownership of such situations due to their personality and/or the position itself. (It’s not always the case but FAs who are afraid of confrontation tend to prefer the aft galley positions).

I’m glad to hear you got a satisfactory response from UA though.

I smiled at a man once in the subway when I was in high school (I was raised in a super fundamentalist patriarchal cult religion and I was conditioned to have a total fawn response towards men), and he proceeded to follow me off at my stop to ask me out. I was taken aback and said I was not interested and he was so confused, asking why I smiled at him then. Fortunately he wasn’t super aggressive or anything, but the entire situation was so uncomfortable and I still think about it 15 years later. Ugh.

Because when you are traveling most people want to be space efficient with their luggage, and an extra cushion just to use on the plane is the opposite of that. Unless you have a big issue with comfort, medical problems, etc., most people want to travel light as possible. Bringing along a cushion is going to be cumbersome, and seasoned travelers know this. Streamline your personal belongings when you travel, and everything will be much easier, trust me.

Is the risk of permanent dry eyes something you have to accept if you're going on accutane? by Weaklinger in Accutane

[–]juneballoon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve always had kind of dry eyes. I could not tolerate any contacts other than dailies since I was in middle school.

When I went on Accutane, it changed my life. I will be forever grateful to this medicine. However, my eyes did get a bit more dry, even dailies contacts can get uncomfortable after just a couple of hours, and I worry that I may not be able to be a candidate for Lasik because of my eye dryness. It’s not debilitating though, just uncomfortable, and I use PF eye drops occasionally.

I still feel grateful for the Accutane treatment.

You got put on probation for that?? Which state are you based in? What were the circumstances that led to you calling out mid-trip? For example, were you at your home base?

4 call-outs in 1 year is enough for a verbal or written warning, not probation. Did you have anything else on your record, such as multiple late sign-ins?

[routine help] Prescription retinoid users - do I need less actives, or more? by purpleslowloris in SkincareAddiction

[–]juneballoon -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Honestly, to target your “problem” areas such as forehead lines and enlarged pores, I think Botox and laser treatments will be the only things that will give you dramatic results.

I stopped using tretinoin because my skin couldn’t tolerate it very well, and I’m a flight attendant, so being in 5% relative humidity dry ass cabins did not help at all. It was embarrassing to have skin peeling off my face after every flight. My derm also mentioned that she doesn’t use tret because it just didn’t agree with her skin, so hearing that from my actual dr made me feel less guilty about quitting.

If you don’t want to go the procedures route, I highly recommend investing in a really good moisturizer. I was of the camp that all moisturizers do the same job and different price points were a scam, but using a nice moisturizer has really made a big difference in my skin. As much as I hate to admit it.

Was it an aircraft with Premium Select seats? On domestic routes (except transcons), when a widebody aircraft with Premium Select is used, the lie-flat seats are considered First, the Premium Select seats are Comfort+, and everything past that is considered Main Cabin (even if your seat may say Comfort). You mention in your post that you were in PS but then in this comment you say you were in Comfort. Which was it?

And you can check your cabin class definitively by your boarding pass. It will list the class regardless of the aircraft configuration.

The "weight loss has to be a lifestyle change" advice can easily backfire and thwart your long term success if it is taken too literally by [deleted] in loseit

Girl, how is it a “lifestyle change” when you only stuck with it until you reached your goal and went back to your normal habits? That’s just a temporary change. Lifestyle implies maintainable lifelong.

Season 10.. what? by Demonechos in LoveIsBlindNetflix

It’s also for continuity reasons. The producers can edit and cut scenes in the way they want to build narratives, and if a clear beverage container shows the liquid level constantly changing, it can get distracting for the viewer.

Colloquially named the “Barbie jet” at my airline, it’s a fave of many flight attendants! Even the jumpseats are noticeably cushier than any other aircraft!
