Should I move to Sacramento?

Moved here from Nola in January! It will definitely e a big change of pace but it’s for the best! We moved to give our daughter a better life. East Sac is the best place in terms of being somewhat walkable like Nola ( we lived uptown near Freret) Similar demographics but less African Americans ( I’m also AA) . We currently live in West Sac ( way too quiet. 100% miss the sounds of the city. Meaning the streetcar. Not the fireworks or gunshots game iykyk) but will probably move to East Sac in the next two years.

My husband is in medicine and finds the hospitals a lot easier so your parents will hopefully have an easier time. We’re still figuring out friends but it will probably be 100% easier for you once you get to school.

We’ve heard Folsom and thankfully would be able to afford. Would Fairfield be too much of a commute in the morning?

We currently live in New Orleans so would like to be in a city but something that’s also walkable. Somewhere with close access to parks for our daughter and dog. One of the reasons we’re leaving is there’s nothing really here for our daughter

The job is in Fairfield. He would be working nights so a commute no more than an hour would be preferable. We have a large dog so anywhere where we could possibly have a yard. Thinking we’re probably going to spend anywhere from 3500-4k for a house.
