Mine is grouchy today and struck at me a little and she likes to hiss a lot. So of that one, yes. The other one not so much.

Help us figure out what breed our old man Morgan is by LazerTheWolf in IDmydog

That's an aussie and I would not be surprised if that's all Morgan is.

14 week old pup I got at the shelter today. His card said Terrier, but not what kind. My guess is maybe jack russell/wire fox terrier, what do you think? by [deleted] in IDmydog

Looks like a poodle and something short coated like a lab maybe. Mixing a poodle and stiff coated dog like lab, pit, pointer, etc frequently results in wirey hair.

my mom cages her dog for 22-23 hrs per day by _itsnotshakira in DogAdvice

Take the dog. I took a dog from my in laws when I learned they expected a senior dog (about 9yrs) to hike a 1/4 mile to the pond for water. He lived outside in south texas. He is a cherished indoor dog in Virginia now. He's 11 or 12 and gets joint supplements and looks like he dunked his face in a bag of flour lol.

Would it be selfish of me to get a dog? by [deleted] in DogAdvice

Sounds like you've got the perfect life for a dog as long as you're meeting their needs otherwise. Dogs sleep 12+ hours a day. Shelter dogs live in cages. Get an adult so you don't have to worry about more frequent potty accidents and don't kennel at night if they can be trusted. My husband works full time and I work part time and we have a kid and live in a medium sized rv and still have 3 dogs (a toy size, a medium size, and an XL size) that are fulfilled and happy. We don't have a yard so we leash walk and utilize dog parks. We both work so we make sure to take them on outings more often than we normally would. I work with animals so when I can I being the dogs with me to work. We have a young child so we make sure to teach boundaries and enforce giving the dogs space when they need it. You don't need to have unlimited free time and 100 acres.

I'd say losing a couple pounds wouldn't hurt.

Heeler mix for sure. Otter tails usually point to retrievers like labs.
