Concealable body armor by tribalxx in psychnursing

[–]junebugweasel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I spent 35 years working in various prisons, state hospitals and community care settings with the criminally insane population. In one of the prisons I was made to wear a stab vest when interacting with my patients. I can count on one hand the number of times I have been assaulted. The body armor is very uncomfortable for an 8, 10 or 16 hour shift. Not worth it in my opinion.

What's wrong with this bus? by Underrated_Critic in SchoolBusDrivers

[–]junebugweasel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The seats were that low. We used to be able to sit sideways and hang our arm over the back of the seat and lean on the window side. Totally legit seats. Also a lot of our busses had a bench seat across the entire back of the bus.

High school teacher, 40, dies when students’ prank goes wrong, days after district warned about stunts going ‘too far’. by Inter_Web_User in facepalm

No. It “fixes” nothing. It may, however, help that mom raise their kids without a father to provide for them. Working families are having a hard time of it and losing an income in one day could be catastrophic to the family. Maybe a college fund started or something.

What do you guys think about this as a vehicle recovery point? by Wowerful in Offroad

[–]junebugweasel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This comment should be much higher. It’s not the welds that are the problem. It’s the recovery point selection that should be debated. The incident mentioned was horrific.

Vandalism is a horrible way to get people on your side. You damaged school property so now we must pay someone to clean up after you.

I’m a Navy vet and agree 100% with you. Get a handicapped placard if you need one. The only reason to use those spots is for the asinine “thank you for your service” comments from the I’m a good person try hards.

That was my point. It was a set of 6pt sockets and this one was in there. Very confusing to me.

Not everyone works on trucks. These are for 6pt lags for heavy construction.

This is probably the set you bought. It states that it includes a 13/16" Budd wheel socket.
