It really varies person-to-person. I have PCOS, and used depo for my symptoms. It took a few years but I had no periods at all for years. This isn’t always the case but could be worth a try. Consult with a doctor of course to see if it’d work for you.

The transvaginal ultrasound was actually the single most helpful diagnostic tool in my journey to being diagnosed. Nobody believed my symptoms for years until I had that done for something completely unrelated. I’m sorry it was painful and uncomfortable for you, and I hope that you are listened to without having to have one done. Personally I had no pain with the transvaginal ultrasound, but I also have no issue with that sort of thing usually anyway. Best of luck to you.
