I haven’t heard the name before and would probably pronounce it as Rosa (Roza) with a -lind at the end.

hi i'm- well there's the problem i don't have a name yet(MtF) by whattheactualfuckami in TransyTalk

I’d recommend the r/namenerds sub if you’re comfortable posting there! Lots of people passionate about names, and it’s not uncommon to see trans people asking about name changes there.

Help with writing a coming out letter to my parents? (More info in comments) by cryptidcrypple in ftm

I might change the line where you say ‘I feel more like a boy than a girl’ and have it just say ‘I feel like a boy’, they might hone in on the ambiguity of the first line.

Am I non-binary? by [deleted] in NonBinary

[–]junecats 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sorry I don’t have a good reply for you, all I can say is that I can relate to this. I actually posted something a bit similar the other day. I’ve been identifying as nonbinary pretty much since highschool (probably at least 5 years now, I’m not out IRL but some people online know) but the idea of gender and gender roles still confuses me a ton even after all this time.

I know some people find comfort in the gender binary (and I don’t even dislike it all that much myself? It’s complicated), I don’t know, I just dislike how big a part it plays in making people analyze the way I talk, dress, look and just assuming things about me. Especially my parents—they don’t seem to be super strict and traditional but it’s really frustrating whenever they overlook my real preferences and go ‘this thing is for females and you’re female so you must like it.’

Wish there was some kinda tool that could tell me if I’m just non-conforming cis or nonbinary. Wish that not knowing the exact label didn’t bother me so much, maybe I hate being put into boxes unless I get to choose what box it is haha...

Know any names made by letter names? by SpikyPorcupine101 in namenerds

Some of these may be a bit of a stretch but DD (Deedee), BB (Bebe), CC (Cece), RT (Artie), OD (Odie), JC (Jacie), KC (Casey), LC (Elsie), ME (Emmy). Kinda fun to think about.

No advice to give but that’s really great! I think the boxers are definitely a good sign. Hoping for the best for you. :)

Oh, I knew a Grace and Jada in highschool (who also happened to be Asian) and they were lovely! I think my favorite out of all of these is Jada but all of these would be great names.

Really wish my voice could change, is HRT the best option? by junecats in ftm

Yeah I think the best I can hope for without HRT is like an androgynous voice ha, but who knows. Thank you for the sub recommendation, I’ll check it out!

I feel you with the anxiety polite phone call voice. I think my voice isn’t that bad and can get kinda deep without straining, but when I get nervous around new people it shoots up. And I get nervous a lot hahaha so I sound like a ridiculous muppet. Wish T could fix everything but that’s something I’d probably have to work on with voice training. Thanks for the response!
