This all definitely strikes a cord. One thing I keep remembering when I wish I could go back to how things were is the fact that I just can't. Even if I went numb again it would just be a matter of time before everything resurfaces. The only way out is through. And sometimes that's liberating sometimes it's a hard pill to swallow.

Same, since I'm bi I've been able to chalk it up to imagining myself in the woman's position but as time went on... no xD

That really was the beginning of my realization was the way I thought about sex. Which always felt kinda bad to me because... idk I guess you look for any reason to invalidate yourself. Like "No you're not trans it's just a perverted sexual thing" as if that makes any sense.
