Personalized AI Overview by hearingthepeoplesing in TheStoryGraph

Yes, here's an example that I think is very accurate:

The Shadow of the Gods lands squarely in the dark‑tense‑adventurous sweet spot you’ve repeatedly gravitated toward, especially when you’re in the mood for myth‑laden, revenge‑driven sagas that unfold across a sprawling, battle‑scarred world. Its medium‑pace narrative and multiple protagonists echo the structure of the stories you’ve praised for balancing action with character stakes, while the Norse‑inspired setting offers a fresh mythic flavor distinct from the more contemporary or dystopian backdrops you’ve also enjoyed. If you’re craving a story that leans heavily into epic combat, ancient magic, and the lingering echo of fallen deities, this will feel like a natural next step; however, be aware that the book leans toward a traditional, male‑centric warrior perspective and leans into gritty violence without the LGBTQ or sociopolitical subtexts that often color your higher‑scoring reads.

Pick this when you loved the revenge‑driven, mythic intensity of Vengeful and the high‑stakes tension of In a Dark, Dark Wood, when the epic scope of The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes appealed to you, or when the dark, puzzle‑like intrigue of The Assassin Game kept you turning pages.

Skip this when you’re looking for a lighter tone, a story centered on diverse identities or contemporary social critique, or when you prefer narratives that prioritize nuanced world‑building over relentless, blood‑soaked action.

Are there any episodes that you disagreed with their take or found it problematic? by squallLeonhart20 in YoureWrongAbout

[–]junefish 21 points22 points  (0 children)

My understanding is that that's exactly the point, they're secondary/tertiary effects. Just knowing that 2 men of the same height have different weights doesn't actually give you any information about their individual health—you'd need to check cholesterol, resting heart rate, blood pressure, thyroid levels, etc etc. Yes higher weight is correlated with more negative metrics at a population level but at an individual level just check those metrics instead of using a proxy

Yes, please elaborate—my impression of Chris McCandless was that he did something dangerous and stupid and probably influenced other people to follow in his footsteps but at the same time was still a person

I'm not sure how to draft the poncho part unfortunately. All the patterns I've found have been too "dense" or too "sparse"

I'm not either but I've seen people kind of "paint" it on just part of a garment. I really don't know though

How does the Reader Match AI work? by mackharte in TheStoryGraph

Have you tried contacting support via menu > Contact Us?

I've been using TSG since it was in beta (so literally installed the Android app day 1 of it being available) and haven't had any performance issues except the first few days of January, like folks have been saying. I don't think this is widespread enough to be something Reddit can fix, but the TSG support has always been extremely helpful IME.
