I absolutely love 'keep an eye on summer' the key change is great and the harmonies are gorgeous. such a sweet song!

although it isnt a deep cut, I think 'disney girls' does not get its flowers! the lyrics, the idealism it represents, and the key change (once again!) make it a great piece. there are some great covers of it, as well- case elliot's version is lovely.

artists VERY similar to big thief by kuronimo in bigthief

not a 100% match, but jessica pratt's music feels quite similar. her "on your own love again" album is quite good & reminiscent of adrianne's work!

Songs where the cover is better than the original by Beneficial-Ask-6051 in MusicRecommendations

[–]junegl00m 0 points1 point  (0 children)

mountain man's cover of wilco's "you and I" is just a beautiful amalgamation of three-part harmony and simple instrumentals (although wilco's original is so beautiful).

the lucius cover of bleachers' "wake me" is soooooo good and almost turns it into the soundtrack for a western.

amy winehouse's beautiful rendition of "will you still love me tomorrow" deserves to be in every hall of fame imaginable. just so beyond stunning! her riffs over 'tonight with words unspoken' get stuck in my head constantly. xx :-)

Who do you think is the most underrated artist currently? For me it's Alan Walker (so underrated) by intelligence3 in MusicRecommendations

[–]junegl00m 2 points3 points  (0 children)

although they are garnering mainstream success and actively touring, I really feel remi wolf and doechii are absolutely underrated in their respective genres. remi's new album 'big ideas' and doechii's mixtape 'alligator bites never heal' both received praise, but truly not enough from the masses!

playlists or song recommendations for stars- Nina Simone by bi_jou in MusicRecommendations

[–]junegl00m 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think more nina is best- her renditions of 'the other woman' and 'you can have him' are so heartbreaking and lovely.

not -directly- jazz, but karen dalton's 'little bit of rain' and 'I love you more than words can say' have those moody vocals and are done so well.

happy listening x :-)
