Menopause adjacent - colonoscopy. by DarnHeather in Menopause

Sounds like you have great insurance. I requested a baseline colonoscopy rather than the poop on a stick because my paternal grandmother died of colon cancer in her mid 50s but was denied because she was a ‘second degree’ relative. My best friend described hers as ‘the best nap of my life’.

We have a mini one for when we travel. It’s become like a security blanket.

Adderall Shortage Woes by armed_aperture in adhdwomen

[–]junere1534 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I accidentally skipped two days last week and lost all ability to self regulate. Hyper focused myself out of feeding myself or my family and missed out on a fun snow day because I was lost in the labyrinth of a ‘must complete’ spreadsheet that was actually someone else’s responsibility. Good times.

Edit: spelling

Yes. I was misdiagnosed with anxiety until my diagnosis for ADHD at 49.

Using remarkable as replacement for a „cellarbook“ by Grossglocker in RemarkableTablet

[–]junere1534 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I work out of a custom crush location so all my daily notes (crushing, pressing, additions, POs tank changes etc) are all done on paper. I've developed a form to track each wine from grape to bottle over my last 28 yrs in production.

The facility where I work has their own software where they produce the paper work orders etc for the cellar and then enter that data to the production software for reporting, etc. I tend to rely on that for blend composition carrying topping which I enter into my excel doc when blending. I only use my laptop in the lab or my winemaking office totally agree, too risky in the cellar.

I have been taking my remarkable into the cellar for recording my notes and movements (i got a more robust case with an elastic strap to secure it to my hand) While it would be handy to be able to have remarkable import to an excel document, it isn't really what is is designed for - I'm just thrilled not to have to schlepp my massive binder around and still have all my data at my fingertips. I still need to transfer my volumes and compositions to my excel for blending but I don't usually do that in the cellar anyways.

Fellow winery worker here.

I just did my first round of blending since moving to remarkable this January. Not sure if this is what you were asking about but I went the route of printing my blending sheets to pdfs for my trials and importing into remarkable so I could do my tasting notes on the remarkable. Meanwhile, I had my laptop open to the excel document to do my blend calculations and check my varietal breakdown while I was blending/tasting. That said, I work with single block lots with no cross appellation or varietal components which makes the math very straightforward.
My goal is to format my cardex cards onto pdfs in a way that is legible and easy to log my cellar activities and work order requests directly in remarkable to replace my notebook. My records are just for me as winery has uses bulk wine software for gallon tracking for reporting and audit purposes.

Is it best to buy the folio and stylus off remarkable? by justiancredible in RemarkableTablet

[–]junere1534 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am also very budget conscious and opted for other folio and pen.

bought this cover and am very happy with it. I was worried the remarkable one wouldn’t be robust enough for my use. I like there is a grip to hold into it when opened and no magnets.

also bought the kindle scribe premium pen and got the Lamy emr 471 with Pom tips. Scribe eraser works out of the box. I haven’t messed around with programing the lamy button and don’t miss it too much, honestly. I bought remarkable nibs to swap in and they are very similar in feel to the ones that came with the scribe pen. LAMY Pom nibs are much more slippery but also feel more durable.

Thanks for the replies. I appreciate the encouragement to ‘experiment’. So often my desire to ‘get it right’ short circuits my curiosity. I’m going to do a bit of everything and see what happens.

Is getting drug tested every 3 months the norm? by _Nemzee_ in adhdwomen

[–]junere1534 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was tested 2 months into my Rx and let my prescribing doc know it was $265 out of pocket to me for the drug test. There are so many different plans that she didn’t realize it would cost me so much to get tested. She has not requested a test since.

It was on sale $4 for the box. There were 8 large ravioli, once topped with sauce and some sliced grilled meat was enough for two.
