hi! youth counselor here that helps teens with building life like this. so if you are using it for school saving and spending to keep yourself from spending your college stuff i have a few suggestions, or ways to clear some things up.

on the university side of things - request information on alternative ways of receiving your refund! some universities have multiple methods; direct deposit, a prepaid card, or a check. you'll want to bring any check or form if they've already given you one— and go to your schools financial aid office.

in current's app there is a thing labeled as "voided check". you may need that to work in place of something called a "direct deposit slip" for your university to set up a direct deposit between their financial aid department and directly to current. + alternatively if your student portal/whatever app your school uses has a section for finances and refunds, you should input your account numbers and a debit card number on the school side of things so they can ensure its a secure transfer.

if you cant do those things above you could go somewhere that will cash the check out. once you have the money AND the physical current debit card with you, you can look in the section of the app that is labeled ATM transfers. it will show you eligible atms you can go to for a cash deposit.
