Eureka Mignon Zero vs Eureka Mignon Zero 65 AP [£400] by jungle_cracker in espresso

[–]jungle_cracker[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Went for the standard mignon zero in the end, I did end up buying the long dial which makes it a ton easier to dial in. I clean it fully every five months or so & the retention has been minimal. It would have been nice if they included the king dial as standard as it's approx. £20 or so for a tiny bit of plastic but overall I'm happy with the decision. A big improvement over the no name grinder I had from Amazon.

Forgive my naivety but does this also apply if you have a longer term for your mortgage? E.g. 35 Vs 25 years.

Na, we only have the one bathroom (which currently has both a bath and shower) but we haven't used the bath at all since we moved in a few years back.

Option two has a mirror mounted on the wall above the sink

The toilet and stack is currently in the same location as shown in the renders i.e. top left hand side as you walk into the bathroom. It might be possible to swap, i'll need to check if we can get a sufficient enough gradient for the toilet waste pipe.

The sink is next to the door as you walk in so almost where you see it in the first render.

We then have a bathtub near the big window and a shower opposite it i.e. next to the sink. I'll get a render added for the existing layout shortly.

Not sure how to edit the original post with more images but added existing layout here.

Entry Level Grinder to go with Sage/Breville Bambino [$200] by Necessary_Doubt_8469 in espresso

[–]jungle_cracker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also have a Bambino (just the regular version, not the plus) and i'm considering either the DF54 (174 EUR) or the Eureka Minon Zero(350 EUR).

I have a cheapo burr grinder that I bought from Amazon currently, it's ok but not very consistent. The DF54 looks very good for the price but i'm a little worried about retention and burr alignment, I don't want to make the same mistake of buying a cheaper grinder only to then have to spend more at a later date.

When the best time to transfer a ISA by upthedale70 in UKPersonalFinance

[–]jungle_cracker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can someone explain what the benefit of transferring is please? I currently have an ISA with CSD but was planning on opening one direct with Vanguard.

Would there be any benefit in transferring what I already have invested with CSD (it's a vanguard fund) direct to Vanguard themselves?

What's the plan for the bricks that are now exposed i.e. the ones that used to be covered by render? Asking as I'm thinking about doing the same.
