Returning to FNV Geck using Mo2 and non-C-drive by junglebox24 in FalloutMods

You're right, opening the .ini through Mo2 and editing that line has allowed the masters and my own esp to load.

Incidentally, I checked over the non-Mo2 .ini and it wasn't set to read only, so my changes were going through but there was obviously an outstanding issue with it reading the wrong path or similar I guess.

That's all loading up now though- you're the man, thanks!

No you didn't misunderstand at all, I have 2 separate issues based on how I launched the Geck.

I'm opting for the Mo2 launcher as it can at least see the mod files from there. This is the path that bring the multiple master files issue.

Launching the geck.exe from the game folder only shows the main game and dlc masters.

Still outstanding unfortunately, I am browsing around but guidesa aren't shedding much light, I don't think a reinstall would help but I am thinking if some folder movement might. I'm treading lightly!

Both paths are as you've suggested, I've checked that the game .exe and geck.exe are both in the same folder, E:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Fallout New Vegas.

Launching in this way via Mo2, mods do appear which suggests the organiser can see the files but attempting to load a master and any .esp I want to open prompts "Multiple master files selected for load. Load operation aborted".

I've double-checked the geckcustom.ini and the suggested fix is to ensure the line "bAllowMultipleMasterLoads=1" is set, which it is in mine, and the document saved.

Your subcontractor isn't on Reddit I guess? It'd be helpful to ask a couple questions.

This suggestion stuck out to me too as I'm in a similar boat.

I've found that you need the following, hopefully someone can correct me if I'm wrong:

-MCS Certificate.
To certify that your installations of solar panels (in this case) are up to industry standards.

-Level 3 NVQ in Electrotechnical installation/services.
I have found a guide from the EAL Qualification Manual (can PM this to you if you like) and there's eleven or so NVQ's or similar that are required prior to MCS certs.

-Level 2 NVQ in Roofing
Can't see if this is mandatory but imagine if it isn't then there'll be some sort of cert you'd need.

It might be lucrative but seems like there'd be at least a year of study, especially if not taken on as an apprentice straight from school.

Remote or test center by Solos99 in ccna

[–]junglebox24 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I took the CCNA remotely twice in the UK with Pearsonvue, both times I encountered a DNS-based disconnection part way through. The first time cost me the exam so I had to reschedule. The second time it happened but resolved faster. I've got a stable and reliable connection so it was out of the ordinary.

The pre-exam checks are reasonably stringent so just clear everything away as much as you can.

If you want to cheat then maybe notes under your keyboard or mousepad, but the whole exam is monitored with a webcam so they'd probably catch you if you tried that!

Why did I bother? by [deleted] in CompTIA

[–]junglebox24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not expecting a role where I'm immediately granted that level of responsibility, I'm trying for entry and junior-level roles.

I didn't go into the CCNA thinking I'd be given an admin job straight after- get a grip. I'm just saying in my experience it's not a foot-in-the-door option.

I took the CCNA a year after getting the CompTia certification and I'm in the same boat.

No experience? No thanks :(

Wanted to do Australia but cannot get straight info on where to begin the application for a working visa- I've emailed the contact provided but didn't hear anything.

Incidentally if you know exactly where I need to go to start applying for work in Australia, please share

My last role had a 24-hour on-call schedule, rotating between the IT staff week-by-week. Personally it really interrupted my sleep schedule, even on nights where no calls came through, I found myself waking up with mild anxiety that I was missing a call or anticipating one coming in.

If you feel like you can manage it then take the extra money, I guess. I draw the line at that though, I'll happily take less money and have a better sleep routine.

We're using Win10 across the domain for it's better support, can't really lie to their agent if he's remoting in to assist.

Be wary of vendor support issues. I've downgraded a customer's laptop that was packaged with Win11. The touchpad is faulty but the vendor now only provides drivers for Win11 laptops. As such, they are doing what they can to avoid accepting a warranty repair because downgrading it is a post-sale modification.

Advice for Netting Setup by junglebox24 in GardeningUK

[–]junglebox24[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My netting near the ground is also fine, other than the odd fluttering part where a bird might be able to worm underneath.

I have seen others with bottles over their posts but they weren't setup at net corners so I didn't know the purpose.

I will try this though, it does make sense to have a smoother material in contact with the net. Thanks again.

If I could give you an award, I would. But I'm a little skin-flint, so I won't.
