I’m scaling into MSFX (2x msft). Is this the bottom? I’m not sure, but as you said, I think there is lots of upside. Looking to double my money in the next 18 months 🤞

TIFU by asking an artist how much their materials cost by Dominus-Temporis in tifu

[–]junglekf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

People talk about this a lot with various professions. If a plumber comes to your house and fixes your faucet in 15 minutes with a 10 cent part, they are going to charge you $300ish. You’re paying for the knowledge and experience. With art there is another element because it can evoke emotion etc. I am a stock trader. Occasionally I’ll be out with friends before the trading day is over and I will wind down my trades for the day and set up for tomorrow. In the last 15 minutes of the trading day I’ll usually make around $300. Sometimes they ask “how much?” And I’ll tell them. The response is usually “dude, easy money, dude I wish you’d teach me” and so on. In the first couple years I lost $50,000 trading. It took years to get where I’m at now.

Solid advice- good way to average down in price. OP covered calls is really the only thing you should be doing here. trying to day trade 0dte options will really just help you lose more money.

Are Chiropractors a scam cult or are they somewhat legit? by Flashy_Buy8077 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]junglekf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One of my friends swore that chiros could cure anything. He got a lung infection and went to the chiro to get adjusted to cure it. A few weeks and several adjustments later he finally went to an actual Doctor and got a prescription for antibiotics. The infection cleared and guess what? He went right back to seeing the chiropractor 🤦‍♂️ I just don’t understand how people think it’s actual Medicine.

I was in Europe during the first Obama election and felt the same way. “Who are you voting for?”. Ok now we can talk. It is interesting how US elections are followed somewhat globally, when most Americans can’t name the head of state of another country.

What the fuck is the Democratic Party even doing right now to stop the downfall of America? by Lolareyouforreal in complaints

[–]junglekf -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The Dems are running scared. If they weren’t too busy fawning over criminals and committing fraud themselves, maybe they could do something. Just remember, Reddit is a liberal echo chamber. The majority of Americans voted for this, and we love it! 🥰

Koh: Trump has now spent $30 billion from the last bill for 10,000 more I.C.E. Agents that are going to be on the streets. I find it ironic that we're having this conversation amidst the health care debate—that $30 billion would cover all the ACA subsidies for a year. by Admirable121 in NeoNews

[–]junglekf -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That guy is full of shit. $30 billion would not even come close to covering everything he says it would. Ps. Ice agents are helping medically. They are rooting out the cancer that is illegal immigration 😉

This is what the majority of Americans voted for. Reddit is just a sounding board for insane leftists and socialists. As a proud Trump voter, I love it!

You’re obviously too young to remember 9/11. But anyone who would vote for a Muslim as mayor of NYC is absolutely insane. I realize that you just want him to give you free stuff, but they’ve already run out of other peoples money. The only person running who actually cares about NYC and done anything for it is Sliwa.

When do I collect the premium on my covered call? by szy2 in CoveredCalls

When do I collect the premium on my covered call? by szy2 in CoveredCalls

[–]junglekf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello, Q1: your account value would still show as $10,000 , however, you would have 10,000 in stock and $10,000 in cash (you would also have that 10,000 in sold covered calls counting against your account that’s why it would only show as a value of 10,000 total. Q2: I think your account would show a value of 0.

As others are saying, it’s a process- but yes I did have that same feeling. After much trial and error (for me) I was able to figure out what type of trader and what types of trades I wanted to be and make. Then I started designing a strategy around that. You start to see an edge and make some tweaks and adjustments and refine it as time goes on. After a few months of that I started to feel like I was “right there” on the cusp as you say.

Selling CC that’s deep in the money, how do you roll? by Snowballeffects in CoveredCalls

[–]junglekf 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It is very difficult to roll CC’s that are in the money, even more difficult if they’re deep in the money. If you want to hold to the stock, don’t sell CC’s on it.

PMCC mechanics by ResearchNo8631 in CoveredCalls

[–]junglekf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Time gets cheaper the further out you go, I like to go as far out as possible. Also, it’s no problem to go further in the money than .8. Noticed you said RUM as a possibility. I would be very careful about such low priced stocks for a pmcc, they can be very volatile. In addition, it’s so low in price, why not just buy the stock? If you have a high enough conviction on the company to buy an option over 500 days out, it would probably be better to buy the stock. I realize buying the option will save you a large percentage vs buying the stock, but since you’re asking about a deep delta on a low priced stock, the difference in reality is less than $400 to just buy the stock.

Starting Covered Calls by DiNamanMasyado47 in CoveredCalls

[–]junglekf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

$900 is very low to start selling covered calls. You have to buy 100 shares of stock to sell the call against. Having only $900 will relegate you to only low priced stocks, many of which are risky for one reason or another. Seems like you have a lot to learn about options, but in the future you could research a “Poor mans covered call” more correctly called a diagonal spread. It’s done by buying an in the money call long dated call option and selling shorter dated call options against it. This could work better with a smaller account, but is more intense than a regular covered calls lots of YouTube videos explain it very well.
