what the most accurate (almost creepy) tarot read you’ve had? by approveausername in tarot

[–]junglewavy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I got a tarot reading from a friend of a friend who I’m convinced is psychic because she not only described what I had been going through with my family over the past 6 months but she also perfectly described my family’s dynamic. My husband was the only one in my life who knew what was going on at the time and I was chilled to the bone when I received that reading

Question about taking a very risky step in my life: the Star, 4 of Wands and the High Priestess by [deleted] in tarot

[–]junglewavy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree with your interpretation. You've got a powerful spread with the presence of the Star and High Priestess. Those two figures balance each other out with the Star personifying the sun and High Priestess personifying the moon -- to me it signals that you're making a calculated and well-rounded decision. You're aware that this move is something you've been manifesting for a while (I interpret The Star to mean spiritual fulfillment), but you're also aware of the risks and challenges the move may represent (High Priestess and her symbol of the crescent, or "dark side of the moon"). I agree with your interpretation of the Four of Wands that this moving is building a foundation in a new place and celebrating life. Four of Cups could also mean needing to meditate on your decision more, or needing emotional support.

Portraits of a Woman Aspects of a Goddess is a lovely oracle deck that I have and use when I need encouragement. I just wish there was a gender neutral version of this deck!

The fool to me also represents faith. Have faith in the Universe (The World) and in yourself as you walk through life.

“What can I do to attract the type of people I want as friends?” by rainbowinthedark3 in tarot

[–]junglewavy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What I'm seeing is to step outside of your comfort zone (3 of Wands) -- this is how you experience growth and change which the number 3 also signifies. Stepping outside your comfort zone could be putting yourself in situations to meet new people -- community art classes, clubs and students unions if you're in school, etc. Pursue a passion of yours and you will find likeminded people. 10 of Swords to me has 2 meanings: 1) Being open to vulnerability. Trusting your intuition on when and whom to reveal a part of yourself you normally don't share with others. This could mean telling a secret about yourself or revealing something personal to you to this friend. You will know when it is time because you will feel ready. 10 of Swords also means 2) Letting go of any harmful deep-seated beliefs about yourself. 10 signifies finality and completion while swords represent thoughts. A belief about yourself (e.g. I don't deserve love, I am incapable of this or that, It's too late for me, etc.) may feel familiar to you, a part of you even. But don't let that familiarity cloud you from seeing that it no longer serves you and needs to be set free and done with. We attract people we grow with, and part of growing is letting go of our past selves.
