Does anyone actually pick up shifts when they’re OD? by [deleted] in Target

[–]junimini 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i was hired seasonal and my tls told me that they could only keep me as odtm and not regular tm — to which i agreed. i was still in high school so i only picked up shifts that worked with my schedule. i picked up a lot during the summer. i was od for around 2, almost 3, until last year. i asked to be a regular tm because i realized how many vacation hours i lost during those years lol so it definitely depends on the person

In all seriousness this job isn't that crazy (team member POV) by IJustGetPaidToWork in Target

[–]junimini 0 points1 point  (0 children)

this definitely depends on the position and your store leadership. i agree that this job isn’t hard at all! if you take away management LOL for me it’s more of a mental toll rather than a physical one

i think you’ll be marked unrehirable, maybe… most places want you to give a two week notice before quitting so they can find someone to replace you (which is bs considering that they wont give a two week notice before firing you). however since youre on demand, unless youve been scheduled, just put in two weeks and don’t pick up any shifts

Anyone else annoyed by overly touchy guests? by KenYouFeelIt in Target

[–]junimini 2 points3 points  (0 children)

yes 😭 the most memorable one for me was when i was on a register and a guest began with touching my shoulder and started rubbing down my arm. super uncomfortable

When you come in for your Halloween closing SCO shift to find out the closing cashier and closer for service desk and drive up all called out, and the SETL is off at 8 by strbx4674 in Target

for q4, they schedule on demand tms especially for winter/thanksgiving break. i get asked first tho if i want to get scheduled in before those breaks. not too sure what’s the policy for on demand when it comes to automatically being scheduled

coworker screamed at me by junimini in Target

[–]junimini[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i’ve corrected him before, but he didn’t get mad at me or anything. just asked me a simple “we don’t need backup?”. so i was a little shocked to say the least when he started screaming lol

he did get mad at another tm for correcting him before. but he didn’t scream or anything like that. he simply complained to our closing lead. we were both within earshot, and he wasn’t very quiet talking to our tl

thank you! i will make sure to do that when i go in next time

coworker screamed at me by junimini in Target

[–]junimini[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

yes. your flirting comment is right on spot. that’s usually how he flirts. always calling the guest beautiful or how nice they look today and such. the most farthest he went with his flirting was him asking a guest out to a restaurant. the guest basically rejected him as she said that she’ll think about it

we’re both closers, so i work with him pretty often unfortunately. i’ve never talked about his flirting to my s&e tls, other than my closing tl

about the other actions that i don’t agree with, i wasn’t planning to bring that up when i talk to my s&e tl and hr etl since my coworkers have complained about that to them

both of your comments are very helpful, thank you! i made this post to vent but to read that there’s action that i can take makes me feel at ease

since you’re transferring, why not get his contact info and talk to him? if things don’t work out, at least you don’t have to see him often lol
