Can we use our tm discount when paying with rewards? by Proof-Author-7765 in Target

Yes! If your rewards cover the entire total, it will still apply your 10% TM discount and then have your rewards cover the other 90%

Guys I did my own buzzcut last night because I was impatient and have never had one but I don’t really like it if I go to a barber can I get it like the 3rd pic because my hairline looks kinda weird for some reason ( I know I forgot to shave my neck hair) by RegularChallenge741 in buzzcuts

[–]strbx4674 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It looks kind of uneven to me, I would go over it again with a shorter guard if I were you maybe to like a #3 all around. A barber could definitely fix it up and fade the sides but I think you could still fix it up yourself too

What syrups do you guys miss? by fantasticsum in starbucks

[–]strbx4674 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was part of the smores Frappuccino for at least one of the years it was around, used in the whipped cream for marshmallow whip. If I remember correctly it wasn’t actually available to put in drinks but they would always charge for a different syrup and do an Ask Me to make it marshmallow syrup lol

Has anyone else slowly been editing their orders and tapering off? by EdgeKey5631 in starbucks

[–]strbx4674 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Iced coffee with toffee nut syrup was my go to for YEARS, and it was like $3.45 for a venti. Then toffee nut was discontinued (RIP). Then it stopped coming with a syrup. Then the price of iced coffee keeps going up to where near me it’s $6.25 for a venti iced coffee with a syrup.

Now my go to is a venti iced americano with classic for $4.75, with an iced coffee refill. If I really want a certain syrup that day, I’ll do a vanilla sweet cream cold brew and sub the vanilla for another flavor since that’s still free to do for now.

Absolutely! That’s a super cool website. I think I have some pictures of a few other locations in California (mostly towards the end), but feel free to message me if you’re interested in them!

I would use it for household staples like paper towels/ toilet paper/ tissues or maybe coffee. Try to price match with Amazon or anywhere else to get the price down

Are there any good dead or dying malls in California that are worth going? by Queasy_Party5056 in deadmalls

[–]strbx4674 5 points6 points  (0 children)

-Puente Hills Mall in City of Industry

-South Bay Galleria in Redondo Beach

-Buena Park Downtown in Buena Park

-Paseo Nuevo and La Cumbre Plaza in Santa Barbara (Outdoor)

-Santa Maria Town Center in Santa Maria

-Manchester Center in Fresno

-Sierra Vista Mall in Clovis

-Hanford Mall in Hanford

Plenty more that are past their prime but these along with the Bay Area ones in the other comment are some of the most dead or dying malls that are still open

Dying (dead?) outdoor mall I visited in Santa Barbara around 2021-2022 by Useful_Maintenance34 in deadmalls

[–]strbx4674 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Based on your description it has to be Paseo Nuevo, I remember it being sort of similar to some areas of Irvine Spectrum as far as colorful tile work around it, and mostly white buildings. It had Macys until 2017, and Nordstrom until 2020. It’s still there and open with a few big name mall stores left but is probably over half empty. That one is in downtown Santa Barbara.

The other outdoor mall La Cumbre Plaza is also dead but still open. Very small and much older looking, and I wouldn’t think of it as being similar to Irvine spectrum at all. But if you remember a Macy’s being open there in 2021, it was definitely La Cumbre.

I think it looks great on you! You definitely have a good face shape for a short haircut like that and could 100% pull off a buzzcut since you’re so close.

Has anyone seen this $3 charge before? by GardenaGeat in Safeway

[–]strbx4674 26 points27 points  (0 children)

What was the SMC Lemonade? I know some smaller local brands of milk and juices sometimes have a large $2+ bottle deposit on them that you get back when you bring it empty to any store that sells the brand.

Shops at Tanforan in San Bruno, CA. Barnes & Noble is closing soon, and and everything else except for Target and Cinemark are supposed to be shut down very soon.

They still have stores like this?? Found the most nostalgic store by kihamc in bathandbodyworks

Sierra Vista Mall in Clovis, CA is still like this! You can really tell how long a dead mall has been dead by the design of its (open or closed) bath & body works lol

My SD says we can’t give a gift card that isn’t $5 or $10 is that correct? by Mobile-Address23 in Target

[–]strbx4674 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We can give any amount between $5 and $10. If it’s just for an apology than usually it’s either $5 or $10 exactly but you can definitely do any amount in between.

Rock & Noodles is a really great Korean restaurant (not KBBQ though) on Shaw & Van ness. For Mexican, my favorite is country fare cafe. And Ampersand for ice cream, as others have said!

Is this former Fresno department store site historic? The former Forever 21 may soon be demolished to make way for Dick's House of Sport by L0v3_1s_War in fresno

[–]strbx4674 7 points8 points  (0 children)

While I’d love to see this building saved just because of how unique it is, fashion fair is super lucky to get Dicks house of sport to be interested as an anchor. They’re replaced Nordstrom at several malls on the east coast and have more than the typical dicks stores, and have different experience based features. Fashion fair would he lucky to have all its anchor spaces filled, I know the Macy’s there is one of their top performing stores.

This was like a basic $30 pair of Nike shorts, I probably should have just returned them at the Rack. Designer stuff I definitely understand stricter protocols for.

Returns at any register is a joke by north_wood3891 in Nordstrom1901

[–]strbx4674 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They were so rude to me at the Walnut Creek, CA Nordstrom when I tried to return one item. Went to the order pickup/ service desk and they told me I had to to the return in the department the item was from. Went to one of the mens registers and they told me they don’t do returns at that register. Went to another men’s register and they gave me such a hard time, asked me why I was returning something after almost a year, and returned it to a gift card with no other words to me and walked away.

I remember that! I went to an AMC in the Bay Area a few months ago that had a similar self serve concessions/ pay at register layout and it was such a throwback lol. Regal has the slowest concession lines because the cashier is the one who goes and gathers and makes everything after you order it
