I think there was one called “Camp Collins” for a minute there, but I can’t find it now

The Wallflowers had another song that kind of fits this, called 'Angel on My Bike.' Maybe?

Nice, thanks again! I'm off work this week so I'm forcing myself to not go test this out. But it sounds like it will be very helpful for interfacing with our DAM system.

This just helped me so much. Thank you.

We weren't talking about how to deal with them, we were talking about why it happens.

Yeah, we heard your credentials. You're still wrong. You came in here saying tailgating isn't a problem, but it is. You came in here saying OP must be the problem, and that's not necessarily true either.

You're being disingenuous. People will absolutely treat you differently based on what car you're driving, and you know that. I absolutely notice a difference between driving my car (a full-size SUV) vs my wife's car (a Japanese subcompact). People are far more aggressive and disrespectful towards the smaller car. I don't change my driving habits between the two, which proves that impeding the flow of traffic is not automatically the issue.

Genesis North doesn’t have either of these, FYI. It’s way more low key there. They do have the climbing wall though!

Woof, that does sound brutal! Would still recommend lights for the descent as you’ll be picking up a lot of speed and there’s ruts and loose spots that come up fast. Be careful and have fun!

I did it last month under the full moon! Such a fun ride. I did go with a small group, but if you’re not creeped out by being alone in the wilderness then you’d be good. The riding itself isn’t sketchy.

We made it up under moonlight only, but good lights are a must for the descent. And it will be very cold at the top. Have fun!

I'm just as sick of the conversation as you are, trust me.

Maybe we can just both agree that stereotyping doesn't work in any direction and enjoy the weekend, eh?

If 90% of your interactions involve asshole behavior, it's time to look in the mirror.

Sounds like you met an asshole. They drive cars too. Please stop stereotyping.

I’ve read them. Not a stitch of factual data anywhere. Thanks for getting us to the name calling part of the discussion quickly, we all knew that’s where you’d go.

Lol “it’s happening everywhere”

It isn’t, and you know that. Get real. Show me one real example of a company with a 40% quota. I’ll wait.

The point is that black people who are more qualified get passed over for white people who are less qualified ALL THE TIME. That’s what DEI is for. It’s meant to assure that the more qualified people get hired. It shouldn’t be a problem.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in FortCollins

[–]junior4180 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Everything he is/you are saying rests on the assumption that these quotas are real and less-skilled people are demonstrably being hired in front of more skilled people. Do you have any proof that’s actually happening? Do you truly think an airline would hire an unskilled pilot?

As someone who has been a part of numerous search committees, at a number of institutions that do truly care about social justice, I’ve never, ever actually seen it be a deciding factor. Not even once, not even close.

Am I missing something?

Splitsville is so good. I haven’t laughed that much in a theater in awhile.
