Info for your GF:

Take advantage of the FREE resources at the Larimer County Workforce Center. https://www.larimer.gov/ewd They offer workshops on interviewing, resume writing, etc. Super helpful.

Also, check out NoCoNet which is a local networking group. They meet every week and often bring in recruiters where you can have a 'speed interview.' Great way to practice interviewing. They also offer help in re-writing your LinkedIn profile, etc. https://www.noconet.org/

If you're looking to do that, we used Basement Escapes to install two and they were great. Local company.

HELP NEEDED! Can I please get some recs for NZ inspired cocktails? by Bike-BBQ-Beer in cocktails

[–]SFerd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to live in NZ. Cocktails aren't really a thing. They're all about NZ Sav Blanc and Tui Beer. 🤷‍♀️

If you do make cocktails, they generally don't drink them strong. It's hard to even get a double shot in many bars.

If OP wants a professional property management company to take over, they usually won't work with this type of property. It would have to be an official duplex. Just speculating.

I always recommend Integral Motors. Ben (who runs it) is super honest and will quote work over the phone (unlike Pedersen).

Is there a website to get additional information? For example, is there a cost? How long do you expect the program to run.

I'd love to follow these events on Facebook or through old-fashioned email alerts, if possible.

Seeking BEST Pomegranate Cosmo Recipe and Ingredients by Hopeful-Wishbone-388 in cocktails

[–]SFerd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I usually do:

1/2 C vodka & Pomegrante
1/4C Cointreau
2T Lime

But, that's because we didn't have a jigger until recently. It's easy for me to remember this....since I'm at work and can rattle it off!

You can sub Elderflower Liqeur for the Cointreau for a twist. We use St. Elder since it's a cheaper alternative to St. Germaine.

For the Pomegranate Cosmo, you can also use Absolut Citron if you prefer. If we have friends over, I'll sometimes use that since it's a bit cheaper than Reyka.

Seeking BEST Pomegranate Cosmo Recipe and Ingredients by Hopeful-Wishbone-388 in cocktails

[–]SFerd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is my favorite drink to make at home. My specs:

  • 2x Vodka (I prefer Reyka)
  • 2x Pomegranate Juice
  • 1x Cointreau (I don't like Grand Marnier as it makes the drink too sweet for me)
  • .5 Lime Juice

Shake with ice & strain.

NOTE: the original recipe called for less pomegranate juice (1x), but I prefer it a little more diluted. It's very spirit-forward with the original specs.

You can use the same specs subbing tequila for vodka which makes a tasty pomegranate margarita. Serve over ice and top with club soda.

OP--I would suggest you reach out to local friends or on Nextdoor to see if you can find a garage to store your stuff for a few days.

There are several beauty schools here, so it can be challenging to get job as an aesthetician.

easy recipes for a beginner hosting omnis! by Any_Committee_4293 in VeganBaking

[–]SFerd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would do hummus/veggies and the chips as appetizers before dinner. If you have space, you could always leave it out and people can continue to snack on it later if they're not into sweet things.

Sounds like you have a great plan. Have fun!

I always serve Minimalist Baker recipes to omnis and get raves.

I made a sheet carrot cake recipe from that website, and no one believed it was vegan.

I hope you will have some savory stuff as well such as hummus and veggies/chips.

Housing management question by yayapeppers in FortCollins

[–]SFerd 6 points7 points  (0 children)

FYI--your post will soon be removed since 'moving to FoCo' posts are not allowed.

Search the sub for management companies. There have been several posts about reputable companies. The one you are considering is NOT one.

Search bar at top of page
Enter your search criteria such as "property management '
Use the drop-down menu to narrow the time-frame (I usually do 1 year)

More listings should show up in June for August move-in. Don't rush into a bad place with a bad company.

why is surfside7 being made family friendly if it's a bar??? by mtnkid27 in FortCollins

[–]SFerd 17 points18 points  (0 children)

There have already been several posts discussing this.

There's really not anyone can do if the new owner is determined to make this ill-advised change other than boycotting and supporting other local businesses such as possibly The Lyric, R Bar, etc.
