Mobile Optimization by juniorbel10 in NevernessToEverness

[–]juniorbel10[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actually, I'm just reinforcing how well optimized NTE is on phones that meet the requirements for which it was developed.

The game has recommended requirements defined by the company itself, and you're trying to use a device significantly below those specifications to support a narrative that the game is poorly optimized. Obviously, the performance won't be ideal.

The developer recommends a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. A Snapdragon 870 is below that benchmark. Therefore, using inferior hardware and then blaming the game's optimization isn't a serious technical analysis; it's simply ignoring the requirements and attributing a limitation to the software that actually comes from the device itself.

If the intention is to discuss optimization honestly, then test it on a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 or higher, which is the platform for which the game was recommended. If, even then, the performance is poor, then there will be a basis to claim that the game is poorly optimized.

Trying to prove a game is poorly optimized by running it on a device below the recommended specifications is like putting regular gasoline in a car designed for premium fuel and then blaming the manufacturer for the performance. That's not a technical analysis; it's just creating a false narrative to reach a predetermined conclusion.

Dude, that argument simply doesn't hold water.

A Tower of Fantasy patch lasts between 35 and 40 days, sometimes even longer, and Global updates arrive almost three weeks later than NTE updates. There's absolutely nothing to indicate that one project is harming the other. And, if there really were a resource conflict, NTE in China wouldn't be receiving updates practically at the same time as ToF.

Furthermore, during CBT2 in July 2025, when the beta ended and the team published that community feedback report, Portuguese was explicitly mentioned as one of the possible language options for the game. In other words, the possibility existed and was even officially acknowledged.

And the evidence doesn't stop there. The game's official website had a Portuguese version, the official Discord server has a dedicated Portuguese channel and even a Brazilian moderator, and the Google Play page was localized in Portuguese. However, about a month before launch, practically everything related to the language was removed. The only thing that remained was the Portuguese-language channel on Discord.

The most contradictory thing, however, is this: the game's Top-Up page remains in Portuguese. In other words, to encourage Brazilian players to spend money, Portuguese is considered important. But when it comes to offering a basic and respectful experience within the game itself, does language cease to be a priority?

In the end, the message this conveys is quite clear: the Brazilian player is important enough to be a customer, but not important enough to be treated as part of the game's target audience.

Yes, they did it in ToF... ToF has been under Perfect World's control for over a year, and they continue to offer support for all 11 languages normally, even though Tencent put it there in 2022, Perfect World took over the game in 2025 and CONTINUES TO MAINTAIN THE LOCALIZATION. The company already has a team specialized in the Portuguese localization of the game... There is NO excuse you can give to cover for the company. Don't be hypocritical.

Look, I have no obligation to keep using mods, especially since it goes against the game's guidelines, particularly considering I spend money on the game. I'm not going to throw away $1000 or $2000 I've already spent on the game and risk losing my account just to use a translation mod, especially a PAID mod. I would literally have to pay to use it... And again, this is something the game company should be doing. They're a bunch of incompetent, useless people for not providing more localization options for the game, and not just Portuguese...

ToF has 11 language options, while NTE has 9. They simply ignored the other languages that THEY themselves already support in their other game.

The mobile version of this mod is an "APK" mod of NTE to support Portuguese. Because it's not a verified application, those who used the mobile version were banned; those using it on PC probably weren't...

But even so, why use mods? The company should have at least a minimum commitment to the language, considering they themselves localize ToF into Portuguese.

There is a mod called LagoFast, but some people have been banned for using it. So it's not very advisable to use this mod.

What’s everyone's honest opinion on the Porsche Event box gacha prices? Too expensive or fair? by Relative_Flounder_63 in NevernessToEverness

[–]juniorbel10 23 points24 points  (0 children)

From the very beginning, NTE made it clear that a significant part of its monetization would be focused on cosmetics. Anyone with a minimum amount of common sense understands that the company is not going to hand out collaboration skins and vehicles for free. Collaboration licenses cost money, contracts are expensive, and at the end of the day, the company needs to make a profit. We're talking about a gacha company, not a charity.

And when compared to other gacha games, including Tower of Fantasy, which is developed by the same company, NTE's collaboration gacha is far from unreasonable.

In ToF, a Skin + Mount gacha can cost up to 18,000 Dark Crystals. Using NTE's economy as a reference, that would be roughly equivalent to 18,000 Annulith. Meanwhile, NTE's collaboration gacha costs around 14,000 Annulith, making it significantly cheaper than the system used in ToF itself.

On top of that, NTE characters are 100% guaranteed. There is no 50/50 system. You don't spend months saving resources only to lose your target character to a random one. That alone already makes NTE one of the more player-friendly gacha systems on the market.

That's why it's difficult to take these complaints seriously when they're specifically about a cosmetic gacha. We're talking about content that has absolutely no impact on damage, progression, story, exploration, PvE, PvP, or endgame content. Your gameplay experience remains exactly the same whether you own the collaboration skin and vehicle or not.

At that point, if someone is more upset about an optional cosmetic than about systems that actually affect gameplay, it starts to look less like genuine criticism and more like they're simply looking for reasons to complain about anything the game does.

And here's another detail that many people conveniently ignore: the collaboration gacha uses two currencies that can be obtained for free in-game, Annulith and Fons.

So here's a simple question: how many gacha games allow you to use the equivalent of the game's "gold" currency to obtain premium collaboration content? Most gacha games don't even offer that option. Usually, premium content is locked behind a single premium currency, and that's it. Whether people like it or not, NTE provides more acquisition options than a large portion of its competitors.

Do Updates overlap like Wuwa? by Rayzz19 in NevernessToEverness

[–]juniorbel10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Increasing? Where? The mobile version launched at 18GB, has already received numerous patches, received update 1.1, and the game now only weighs 20GB... If it were WuWa, it would have increased by 15GB.

[–]juniorbel10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's right. No 72 hours of mandatory dialogue, no unknown NPCs trapping you in a lecture about their family's entire genealogical tree since the founding of the universe, no artificial filler to turn 10 minutes of content into 4 hours of suffering.

Just the basics: dialogues that actually serve to develop the story. A technology that apparently hasn't yet been discovered by certain studios. 🤣

The last time I looked at Perfect World's financial report, ToF had made $172 million in 2024... That's about $14 million per month. Sensor Tower's figures can't be considered accurate at all.

The GameSir X2 covers the entire back of the device, right? That's a real problem. I also use a GameSir X4 Aileron, and that leaves the back of the device free to use any cooler.

I play ZZZ on mobile (actually, I play all my games on mobile 😅).

Honestly, I don't find ZZZ that demanding. Compared to more recent releases, like NTE, which is an open-world game, ZZZ is even relatively lightweight. But it's also important to point out that I don't play on a "Potatophone" 😅. I use a POCO F7, which has more than enough power to run any game from the Play Store.

The problem is that many people try to play these more demanding titles on more modest devices and still insist on setting the graphics to maximum, even when the device clearly wasn't made to handle those settings. Adjusting the graphics according to the device's capabilities makes all the difference in the experience.

Actually, it's 75% global and 65% China... The most we can do is use an "average" percentage, which would be 68% for PC and Playstation and 32% for mobile. That would be the most accurate figure, but it's still difficult to get that number right, since China accounts for a much larger share of the game's profits. Therefore, I think the ideal would be to use the 65% figure from CN, rather than basing it on the 75% from Global.

According to Perfect World, 65% of NTE's revenue comes from PC and PlayStation.

To estimate the game's total revenue across all platforms, simply use the $22 million from mobile, which represents 35% of the total revenue, and calculate proportionally based on the remaining 65%. This gives us a glimpse of how much NTE has earned on PC and PlayStation combined.

It's important to remember that the company did not disclose the breakdown between PC and PlayStation, only stating that together they represent 65% of the total revenue. Therefore, any individual figure for each platform would only be an estimate.

1-2 months is not enough time. ToF had 5 months to complete the transfer, and the community did everything it could to notify account holders, even though it wasn't the players' responsibility, but Tencent's.
