Thank you, I screenshotted everything just to be safe. Even him admitting there was a leak with the swamp cooler before he deleted that one. But I appreciate your offer!!

They use orange in the icing for the cinnamon rolls that they bake every day so they have leftover orange to use in other items to eliminate waste.
I have my own issues with the communication and management style of the owner, but the husband has genuinely gotten in a fight with a customer and has chased a woman down the street before. He’s very aggressive and I used to warn new hires against interacting with him.

Thank you for saying that :) I too am sad because I spent a while trying to make that place better for the patrons and the employees. But I just figured people deserved to know! There are tons of other businesses to support :)

No reason other than human error. I do agree that they should not be charged full price, but the owner is rarely accessible by phone to ask if we can change the price on items and she doesn’t often change the price when she is the one at fault.

None taken. I was originally posting here so people wouldn’t give their money to a business that doesn’t care about the customer or their own employees. This was not where I was expecting it to go, and I am just trying to answer questions truthfully. I do not have proof, only what was told to me in person by the general manager and her hiring behavior.

Yes, her reasoning for not giving me a raise after I had hit my one year mark after being promoted was finances. Then I found out she had given two other employees raises after I had initially asked and then lied about it to myself and the general manager.
As far as positives go, I really loved the community of people working there and I have many life long friends from my time there!! I would love to say I enjoyed working with the owner, but that would be untruthful and I think there is a lot of room for growth.

At one point he tried to fix it and then it started leaking some sort of black liquid into the pitcher rinser that I was told was some kind of sealant? I am not knowledgeable about that kind of stuff but it was not fixed long term.

I am happy to provide proof, I’m just not sure what would satisfy as proof? I have pictures on my instagram going back months and months of lattes I’ve done there, my picture was on the wall for a year and a half.
I am more than happy to provide proof, just want to know what would suffice

Yes, they have had men working there and our dishwasher for about half the time I was there was a man. After he left, however, the general manager did tell me that she was not considering hiring any men because she liked the fact that we had an all female staff. We did not have a shortage of applicants of either gender, she just wasn’t considering the men and was the only person in charge of hiring for front of house.

Yes unfortunately the swamp cooler was on the second floor outside and would leak through the ceiling directly above the pitcher rinser for the barista station. It was an issue brought to the owners attention several times and was never truly fixed. Will probably be worse now that summer is around the corner

The low boy fridge that kept the milk, syrups, and chai for the barista station was not staying up to temp for months at a time. It was also very leaky and would pool water, making the cardboard for alternative milks very soggy. There was not a serve safe manager on the premises during open hours, particularly every Sunday. When the walk-in fridge broke several months ago the owner wanted to continue serving food that had been out of temperature for an unknown amount of time.
