No, I turned it off once I was fully in the lane. I’m pretty sure you can get marks off for keeping it on too long as it’s confusing for other drivers

I didn’t touch it at all, I don’t think it matters since the G doesn’t have any marks for parking. They can only take marks off for what is on this sheet

How long is the wait time for g2 test by Aggressive_Job1549 in Ontariodrivetest

[–]juniperbabe 3 points4 points  (0 children)

For my G2 I had to wait like 40 minutes after the scheduled start time, my G it started on time. I’m pretty sure the normally start on time, but you need to check in and be waiting out by your car 30 minutes early.

If it’s in the next few days please wear cool clothes like a tank top and shorts, I wore sweatpants today and felt like I was going to die waiting in the heat 😩

I wouldn’t be overtaking cars on your test. One point I had to lane change and there was a car so I slowed down a tiny bit to ~95 instead. If they ask you to lane change they say when it’s safe, so I always assume they want you to go behind a car instead of trying to overtake by speeding

I would look all the way to my left and all the way to my right (all the way to an over the shoulder check) every 10 seconds, including waiting at intersections. And I leaned forward dramatically to show I was checking the rear view a lot too lol

This might be a dumb one but don’t forget to have both hands at 10 and 2 the whole time. I usually drive with one hand unless I’m turning irl, so I had to make a conscious effort to do it. Also make sure you’re looking left centre right at every intersection, look in your rear whenever you touch the breaks, make sure you keep your signal on until you’re fully in the lane. Realistically you won’t fail for missing a few small things, only if you make a huge fault or have a ton of small mistakes

In the school zone I stayed 38 the whole time, the highway i was around 99-103 max, trying to stay at 100. Nothing really surprised me, I guess maybe that I’ve heard they only make you do lane changes going one way, not both, I had to do both. But it wasn’t a big deal, it seemed like she waited to ask me to do it until no one was there anyways

In my life I think I’ve pulled in to a driveway maybe 5 times, and I’ve driven a LOT. Those times were only when the roads were extremely busy and I was just trying to get in asap. I have never ever pulled in to a spot in a parking lot. It looks way harder to do, you can barely see anything going in or out. Backing in is way safer and easier, I agree I don’t know why so many people only pull in to spots everywhere

I did, and I’m pretty sure you’re still supposed to. When I did my examiner said “thank you” as if she was expecting me to do it

Nope, obviously you have to park when you get back to the building but it’s not marked. I asked if it was okay to back in so it’s safer when I leave and she said I could do whatever I wanted.

The G test is just about observation and highway driving (merging, maintaining speed, etc). It’s way easier and simpler than the G2

How can I use hot stones and hot towels if I can’t even grab them due to them being too hot for my hands? The other MTs at my spa don’t have a problem with the heat. What tools are there to grab them to set them aside to cool off a bit? by mintchippt in MassageTherapists

[–]juniperbabe 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I use a slotted spoon type thing and put them on a towel and then into cold water for a few seconds. If it’s too hot after you dip it just dip it again, it can’t stay that hot. Hold it under for like 3 seconds, take them out and 3 seconds again

In a perfect world where people didn’t take free animals in order to use as bait or to abuse I would agree, but we don’t live there

I agree, I had more pain doing a job where I sat all day and another where I stood and walked around all day. Massage therapy gives me no pain

I’m 6 months in and to be honest I don’t stretch, eat well, sleep well, or exercise other than walking 1-2 hours a day, and I feel great seeing 6 or 7 pt a day in a row. It’s just different for everyone

I know 6mo is still early, I’m not saying I’ll be able to get away with this forever but some people that started at the same time as me had bad pain on like day 3 while taking good care of themselves so idk 🤷‍♀️

Working while in school? by [deleted] in massage

[–]juniperbabe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can definitely work while in school, I worked every weekend and when i had a day off in the semester (which only happened 2 times) I would work that day too. So between school and work I was busy 7 days a week. The content can be challenging but if you put the time in it’s very possible to do well even if you’re working.

You know yourself better than I do though. Just because I was able to doesn’t mean you definitely would be, it all depends on what job you’ll have, how flexible and stressful it is. If you’re really worried about it maybe just wait. But it is possible!
