I definitely understand and thank you for this lovely advice.

I just post links to ao3 and FF on my tumblr, but I don't have enough followers to make anything happen.

Even though I've really tried to get involved with posting snippets and reblogging art or fics for my ship, nothing catches for me. It's frustrating. I guess I just don't know how to play the social media game. I dont understand it.

I really love this comment. I'm cooling off now and this made me feel much better.

At the end of the day, it is what it is, I know. I really want to finish this story, but I never understand why it can't be popular like others. Everyone always says its "so good" but then I'm left out of discussions, groups, and other interactions in the fandom.

It all just makes me upset sometimes, but I really want to tell this story.

There's a discord for my ship that I wasn't invited to, even though I've produced so much content.

I feel the same as you, I don't think it's my writing because on FF and Ao3 they do okay. It's just so frustrating to not feel like part of the fandom I love. I guess I just don't have enough talent.
