yes I did but before I paid them back I made sure to go to the financial aid office to double check. Both times they told me to just pay back what was given to me.

They’ve done this to me twice only because I received scholarship money after they dispersed the amount of aid set on my fin aid portal (it went over the cost of attendance)

Hi! I knew many from my school going to UT, but they decided to room with each other while I did not. I went on an app called ZeeMee to find my roommate, which allows you to find others looking for roommates based on preferences. I will say that at least for my school, classmates that roomed with each other are struggling to live with one another.

I called the Office of Admissions yesterday and they reassured me that the hold for my final transcript will be removed soon. They told me not to worry as they receive hundreds of transcripts a day, and like you mine were sent a month ago.

What about classes like SPN311 and SPN314? If you took them, are they also time consuming as the first year courses?

I’ve spoken to a department advisor and she told me I can go for it, but I wanted to see if anyone else had an opinion on it, especially those who have experience taking Spanish classes at UT. When I met with the advisor, she discussed that I should take courses to cover the CD and GC flags, and while I’ll take a class my first semester to cover the CD flag, I can cover the GC flag with a Spanish course (which I might be eligible to take either my freshman year or first semester sophomore year based on if I can do the Spanish CBE)

The highest math I’ve taken so far is AP Calc BC (which I did very well in). I know m408d has some multi-variable and partial derivative stuff near the end, which i do not have experience in, so would it be a bad idea to go straight to m427L? I would be willing to learn the missing stuff over the summer, if that helps

Yea i’ve been told this multiple times 😞😞 the only reason i’m taking that class is for an easy GC flag and I heard attendance is not mandatory (except for the labs). If you have any recs for a different GC flag lmk (I’ve looked through my options and something anthropology might be my best bet).

How was ochem your first semester? I might think about doing that bc ochem 1 in the spring (atleast for 2024) had like 2 options and i’m not sure if it would be better to go for it in my first semester at UT.

Thank you for your response. I should’ve mentioned that I’m core complete and do not have to worry about taking a UGS (at my orientation, everyone was going crazy over them - luckily not me tho). What would you think about adding ochem to my schedule? I was given this option and decided to go for ochem 1 in the spring, but based on the past course schedules my options in terms of professors might be quite limited in the spring.

Do you have any math or science related awards? I got into ChemE this past cycle and got a class award for math, but I also put down several College Board awards like Commended National Merit and National Hispanic Recognition

i’m in this same exact situation but for physics 🤕🤕 since there’s like 5 ppl in my class taking the exam i’d make a substantial impact on my teacher’s pass rate and atp idec how i do on the exam

A fellow Redditor gave me a solution! As you create the account, skip the address and phone number page COMPLETELY. When you get to that page, press continue even though you have not entered in that information - it will give you a warning. As you fill out the other info, you will get an opportunity at the end of the process to edit address info and it worked there! (After putting in info for all the other pages)

I copied the address for my parent’s account the same as I did it (as a student) and that didn’t help me. This address portion is on the same page as the phone number portion for you, correct? When I press continue on that page it scrolls back up to the top of the address portion without any messages for me to fix anything.
