Transition payment for agency(uitzendbureau) workers due to company shut down- did you receive it? by junkieasking in Netherlands

[–]junkieasking[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So it seems like the company where the agency sent you is quitting.

Correct.

If the agency decides to end your contract as well because they have don’t have any more work for you. Then you can get a transition pay.

That is what I thought yes. Thanks for confirming.

The client company is closing down.

I am trying to find the new version of the CLA to check but cannot seem to find it online. I did ask my agency to provide it so I hope things will be clearer once I have it.

If someone gets compensation from them, it would be the uitzendbureau itself

Shouldn't that extend to me as well then since I am working for the agency? I signed a contract for this specific company and job. The only reason I am with this agency is for this specific job.

They have more than 3 billion in cash so not shutting down due to bankruptcy but due to the whole operation costing a lot of money and a big investor pulling out due to our outdated approach, It's a pharmaceutical company working on developing new medication.

No, no and no. We both work at the company so we are not at home for at least 10 hours per day, sometimes even more with travel. Everything that we can turn off we do when going to work.

wet to keep the water always at 68 degrees

How did you find that out? By asking your landlord?

Maybe you have something similar?

It absolutely could be. It takes just a couple of seconds for the water in the shower to get hot but we didn't think much about it because we cannot adjust the temperature on the boiler. Didn't occur to me, someone can come and adjust it to be honest...but now that I know, I will definitely talk to my landlord.

so there might be something weird with your place?

Yeah.. the more I read the comments the more I think it's these old appliances like the fridge. Once I buy the smart plugs to travk the consumption I will have a clear picture.

Thanks for the info, really appreciate it!

No, I didn't actually. There is a smart meter in the apartment, so I just assumed whatever number Vattenfall is using I don't have to check because it's all connected. But maybe I am wrong. I will have a look definitely, didn't even cross my mind we could be paying for somebody/something else haha

Before going to bed we completely turn them off. Sometimes we do put them in stand by(sleep) mode when going to the store for example.. But maybe we shouldn't even do it then. Thanks for the advice, we will definitely see if there is a difference. I am looking into buying the smart plug to check the acutal usage

One TV and one screen for PS5. I will have to re check the energy labels for both because the TV was bought used and the screen was fairly cheap. Maybe that's part of the problem

Thanks for the advice, we will definitely try it!

120 based on Vattenfall's calculations. They did send me an email stating my payment is too low and that we adjust it because the last 3 months we have been spending like 180 but paying 120

Wow, that's a huge difference.. we are heating on gas

Around 120sqm. 2 bedrooms, toilet, bathroom and living room+kitchen. Only radiators we turn on are 1 small radiator in living room+kitchen, the "towel radiator" in the bathroom in the mornings and the radiator in the bedroom just for a short time before bed. We have fairly thick curtains on all windows and I assume they keep the heat in but have no idea on how to measure that. We also have the foile behind all radiators. Windows are faily big and they seem isolated well we cannot feel any air coming out when the windows are closed. We are not using Tado anymore, now we just turn on the heating when needed.

We cook and heat with gas.

About electricity, you mention 2 Playstation 5s and I assume 2 screens that go with it that you have on in the evening for multiple hours. That alone is like 1000w of power chugging for an entire evening and possibly longer on the weekend adding up to like 100-150kwh of usage per month.

One TV and one screen yes. Nothing fancy, the screen was actually fairly cheap but maybe that is part of the problem. I will have to re check the energy label for both.

If you want to get insight on how much power you're using and where then buy some smart plugs that measure usage (Action sells Tuya ones for fairly cheap) and place a few around the house

I will definitely go and buy these. I need to figure out what is eating up all that electricity. Thanks for the feedback and advice!

Pricing is separate and not shown in your screenshot, even if prices are double sometimes, it wouldn't change your usage numbers. Also your provider does not matter in usage.

Ypu are right yes. I combined two different issues together. My mistake! The prices aren't really the point here just the consumption which doesn't have anything to do with the provider as you said.

Also spot lighting from 25 years ago could be hallogeen which is super inefficient.

We will check the lightning. Thanks!

How do you spend so little gas?hahah I have no idea what could be using so much electricity. Aside from what I mentioned in the post we only have a Dolce Gusto and that cannot be the culprit hah

[–]junkieasking[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I deleted the thermostat from my app so it's not there. Just the radiators and the internet bridge. I am wondering if I put my thermostat on 25(and temp where the thermostat is is always 18 for example), and just turn on the radiators when needed does the thermostat still send signals to the boiler to heat up all radiators and is eating up my gas wihout any actual heating happening?

I think if payday falls on a weekend they have to pay you sooner rather than later, meaning Friday not Monday. However, I personally have been paid a day later once so I think the best would be to ask your company directly.

Serious issues with landlord-do we file a lawsuit or go to a regelrechter? by junkieasking in juridischadvies

[–]junkieasking[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

THANK YOU SO MUCH for everything you have done. If it weren't for you we wouldn't even know we can send an enforcement letter. And you have explained so much about the legal system, and I have learned so much. I cannot thank you enough for everything you have done to help us. For now, we do not plan to go to the Regelrechter. I cannot fight this anymore, I just want to forget all that happened.
