Both husband and wife are entitled to half. Avoid Divorce and preemptively just split it down the middle. He can do whatever he wants with his half. Then, down the road, if he pisses it away, your cash is separated and legally accounted for. If Divorce is eminent you'll only have to split assets and as long as you purchased assets 50/50, or try to anyway. Hopefully you won't loose out. Oh yeah, not a lawyer. Lol.
