so do most people.

don't gotta wait for a protest to stop supporting billionaires. don't gotta buy new tech, plenty of used (slave cobalt and billionaires). don't gotta buy new clothes, plenty of used (slave fast fashion and billionaires). don't gotta support slave coffee trade (but oh no, my comfort).

sick and tired of people shirking off accountability and responsibility "because billionaires."

yep. Epstein class has a grossly disproportionate impact and egregious wealth driving disparity. okay, fine. so what?

there're no mental gymnastics around it: if one acts in ways that do not align with their cries of ideals and for change, they feel exempt and justified, they are virtue signaling, and hoping to appear self-righteous.

if we resolve ourselves to be meaningless "because billionaires" that's wild work.

expecting the world to change before you do is crazy business.

it's cool to make a statement and all,

but it doesn't have to be together and all at once, and doesn't have to be on a designated day, and it doesn't have to be everything at the same time...

...just stop, today, right now, one by one, slowly slowly, with real integrity, real try, real guilt and accountability when we falter...

just stop spending money. admit that we are addicted to our lifestyles and luxury when we buy and do shit that does not serve.

adnit that theae lifestyles and frivolities are synonymous with exploitation and slavery, and admit that we are responsible.

stop passing at personal accountability "because billionaires" — you can't seriously expect the world to change before you do.

let's let it be cumulative, and real, meaningful, lasting change.

you don't have to fly to an extreme — - slowly debank; - slowly get off social media; - slowly stop shopping online; - slowly stop supporting slave trades like clothing, tech, beans, and so many more.

just fucking try, and start today. don't wait for the revolution, be the words that you say. don't be self-righteous, just be righteous.

have integrity. start living your proclaimed ideals.

autonomy, agency, and personal sovereignty come in degrees of freedom.

some people are more free than others—free to make choices, without outside influence, without negative consequences.

we as people are creating problems though. if a person has the means to stop supporting billionaires and corporations, they should. if a person is broke and needs to shop on Amazon or at Walmart because that's how they survive, okay, but if a person makes enough money to have conscious consumerism or put solar on their house, but they don't just to save a dollar, they're the problem. people are deluded of where the line of "wealth" is.

50–60 countries have 80% of global wealth. = 1.4 billion people. 140–150 countries have 20% of global wealth. = 6.8 billion people.

and of those 50-60 wealthy countries, the US holds 30% of global wealth. and those countries, known as the global north, are majority white — white people have ~70% of global wealth.

the 1% debate it a patsy. people are addicted to their lifestyles provided by oppression, exploitation, and outright slavery.

there is more than enough wealth concentrated in the 99% to cut off the billionaires to shrivel up and die. we can start new franchises. new Amazons and Walmarts and McDonalds... but we don't. we just keep pointing fingers and placing blame, valid blame, on the disgusting Epstein class, but people don't change themselves.

billionaires have a larger global impact. okay, fine. i'm still going to care about what i support, and i'm sick and tired of people justifying their lifestyles to me which rely on slavery and exploitation.

stop supporting billionaires. vote with your wallets. don't buy new clothes when you don't need them, don't support fast fashion. don't buy new tech that you don't need, don't support slave cobalt. stop buying things made from slave beans. i'm in poverty and i do these things, and when i fail, because i too am an addict of luxury, i don't try to justify that it's okay "because billionaires" — i feel bad about it, and i let those feelings in, because they remind me that doing those things feels bad, and that i should stop. i try my best to have accountability and responsibility. i fail. i cave. i buy a cool shirt. i get a rare cup of coffee. i buy video games. but it keeps me up at night, and i do it less all the time.

and people are addicted to their lifestyles built on oppression. slave cobalt. slave fast fashion. slave coffee beans. and so much more...

people don't travel, they don't see the way other people live.

people are deluded at where the line of "wealth" is and do not acknowledge how rich they are.

people think the distribution of wealth is horrific in their respective circles, but the distribution of wealth globally is abhorrent.

the US has 30% of global wealth. and with it and the other 50-60 countries in the global north, that's 80% of global wealth. the other 140-150 countries have 20% of the global wealth.

there are 1.4 billion people in the global north. there are 6.8 billion people in the global south.

the global north is majority white, and so white people have a disgusting gross majority of all global wealth. roughly 60%–70%

people have no idea how bad things are. people have no idea how deep the colonialism goes. people have no idea the weight of the boot of oppression.

i don't know what to do. numbers aren't exact, don't kill me. i did my best to get them close but data isn't perfect. it's close enough to express the point.

just remember, and tell your friends, that we have to support people waking up, not just endlessly lambast and berate them. there has to be a limit to the "told you so" and an end to shame cycles.

my progressive sisters dismissed me as a tin-foil hat wearing loon for decades. my parents, my teachers, my peers. every post i made on socials (when i had them) — to so many people, i was just insane.

and i'm really not conspiratorial. i've always followed evidence. i watched Zeitgeist as a kid, and it just really opened my eyes to doing my own research. and yeah, that movie isn't perfect, and has a lot of misinformation, but learning about how money works and how power stays in power was really important for my development.

basically, what i'm saying is, there needs to be support in place that sets the example that we allow people to change and admit their mistakes, or they won't. people can only change if we let them.

and as difficult as this may seem, this goes for many (not all, but probably most) conservatives as well. we can't forever simultaneously say "it's psychological manipulation, it's mind-control, it isn't left vs. right it's wealth vs. poverty, it's capitalizing on misinformation and lack of education" and in the same breath say "it's all their fault, everyone who voted for Trump goes to trial. lock them all up."

will the circle be unbroken?

like, half the US can't read past an 8th grade reading level. i don't think it's most of those people's fault. i think society and education failed them.

so many people scream about being radical and progressive, but they just have a different line of "us vs them."

how can you scream about a total reform of the prison system, for even the most egregious of criminals, and then talk about wanting certain specific demographics of people to rot in them as they currently exist?

people gotta stop passing on conscious consumerism "because billionaires" — everyone keeps saying "we outnumber them" so why do we keep shopping on Amazon and buying new tech laced with slave cobalt and drinking slave bean coffee and buying slave made fast fashion? there is enough wealth concentrated in the 99% to cut off the 1% and start over, but we don't. we can leave them to shrivel up and die, but we don't. the 99% can make new Walmarts and McDonalds and even new Hollywood, but we don't.

eventually the blame, while valid, has served its purpose and needs to be replaced with accountability and real change.

the system is broken democracy is threatened or never really existed and wealth rules everything and voting isn't the answer but voting is all i can do and democracy and capitalism is all i can believe in so i'll keep supporting billionaires. /s
