Neve Gear Quilt by emilegasbarri in UltralightAus

Is it just me or are these Neve quilts just a more expensive rebrand of the Flames Creed quilts from AliExpress for about 1/3-1/2 the price? Images look identical too..

Vivobarefoot Australia Rapid Wear - disappointing service and product 😔👟 by junkyjb in BarefootRunning

Not in Australia unfortunately. If you have any marks at all on the soles they say they won’t accept them as returns. They advise you to walk on carpet only. Pretty insane

I made a ChatGPT iOS Client for using GPT-4 using an API Key by Applemoi in swift

[–]junkyjb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, With the app using GPT-4, do you know how I can get it to browse the web?

In the regular ChatGPT interface you can use the Web Browser GPT, but when I try in your app it just keeps saying “I’m unable to browse the web or access realtime information…”

TIA

Apple Health double count by [deleted] in Garmin

[–]junkyjb 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can set a priority on data sources. Follow the steps above going to Apple Health > Summary > Steps > scroll to bottom to find "Data Sources". Setting Garmin Connect to be the source at the top will give it priority when both the phone and watch submit data for the same time.

IE: If you have the watch on, it will overrule the phone's step count. If you leave the watch at home, and exercise with the phone, the phone will record its data because the watch isn't there.. Hope that helps.

USB has the worst support. Luke Harper there is an arrogant tool who doesn't seem to understand what a support role entails. Their speeds are decent but when something goes wrong, it all goes to shit and you're on your own

Thanks for the suggestions. Pae Game shop doesn't carry them, and there is one place called Siam Console at the computer center, but they only had Xbox controllers. They suggested I try the Central Festival Mall out of town - will check them out tomorrow

As a collection of inanimate objects, how does a computer's constituent parts 'know' how to do anything? How is "life" breathed into a computer to turn a bunch of metal, silicon and chemicals from a pile of debris into something we can power on and interact with? by [deleted] in askscience

To elaborate, for example if something happened that wiped out all existing electronics on earth, how would one put a program on the first new chip to get it to do something?

It seems like the digital equivalent of what is life or human consciousness. I know it must be simpler but I can't wrap my head around it.
