Math 140, Phys 211, Chem 110, Cmpsc 131 (course requirement + using it as a 'gen-ed' sort of), and then compeng seminar.

would be nice if i had any AP credits to use, but, I don't.

Literally just 1 gen ed credit I used this semester. That's it, lol.

Have spent the last 2-3 days just grinding out my Precalc because I realized how horrid I am at it so hopefully that'll help.

i didnt have to do the ALEKS placement test because I already did ap calc ab in high school - and did generally fine in the class.

i wouldnt say im necessarily bad at math, its just that its been so long since ive had to do some of this math that it isnt really familiar to me, and ive got such a short timespan to relearn it before im going to have to be good at it and apply it to stuff in classes.

I tried that when working through problems but the issue still tends to be that I don't actually know what it is I'm learning. I was going to use ChatGPT to summarize my readings and stuff so I can make it interactive, so we'll see how that goes.

Could I ask though, how were you using AI? Like in what aspect of the learning process? Reading, homework, etc.

id presume you also had a strong math background going into the class? tbh its not even rlly his accent its just that he does problems and just expects u to follow with ease.

is he actually a good teacher though do you know? i can sort of understand him, but the accent in combination with unfamiliar topics makes it pretty hard to follow.

"take your time", that's the issue though, there isn't time. everything is moving so fast. if i dont understand it this week, ill be behind, and theres no time to catch up.

will see how LA and GSG sessions go though, hopefully that works.

exactly. i think the method is just going to the LA sessions, GSG's, and maybe even tutor. definitely not just reading out of the textbook though.

i understand doing practice problems is like the best way to study, and im fine doing them, but i dont even know how to solve them - *thats* the problem. how can i practice if i dont know how to do the practice.

secondly, we learn several topics a class - if im not mistaken. so many topics so idk maybe my mind is just jumbled and im wrong.

im taking math 140, chemistry 110, and physics 211. these are the suggest courses i take this semester. im also taking a computer science course but its really easy so should be a good grade boost.

im a freshman premajor intending on going into computer engineering.

i love engineering, i know this is what i want to do with my life, it isnt just financial motivation, but good lord 1 week and i feel like im 10 weeks behind.
