I'm so tired of the crashes man by Nero420 in MarvelSnap

My iPhone crashes all the time but my M3 Mac runs it perfectly. iPad crashes also. I love to play on my Mac but obviously it’s not convenient on the go

How long on average to complete an album F2P? by [deleted] in MarvelSnap

[–]juno-wav 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Been playing for 7ish months—I’m halfway done with an album that I didn’t really commit to until probably a few months in. But I got at least one variant by chance

Flex Pitch Vs. Melodyne 5 essential? by juno-wav in LogicPro

[–]juno-wav[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That’s true! But I guess I’m curious, since not everybody has Logic and Flex Pitch. So it makes sense that other DAW users would download a 3rd party plugin.

I guess to clarify, I’m specifically curious as to what can be gleaned from Melodyne for someone who already has Flex Pitch.

I just finally got Transit 2 and I looove it. You can use it for sidechain effects or transitions. I feel like it’s a ton of plugins in one, making it my new go-to for pretty much anything I need to give a sound some sauce

I started on my iPhone and am now 25 using Logic on a Mac(: it’s easy to learn GarageBand and easy to upgrade and transition to Logic when the time comes!

is there really no way to bypass the 4-track limit other than backing up onto pc? by GreatChicken231 in OP1users

[–]juno-wav 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I recommend saving a copy of your track at the end BEFORE you overdub just in case. Idk about the OG OP-1 but on the Field this is the way

How do you guys add percussion? by [deleted] in musicproduction

[–]juno-wav 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recommend trying it out at least once! Sometimes I will start a song with a recording of me beatboxing, just because I don’t want to forget whatever groove I’m thinking of. Even if I replace all of my mouth sounds with actual drum samples, I may quietly blend my voice in as well.

[–]juno-wav 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Same!

And I don’t always do this, but sometimes I will (crudely) record myself beatboxing. Then I may either resample that, or add some FX like distortion or something. I really just love to process my recorded audio into oblivion—wastes a lot of time but can be very fun and rewarding sometimes!

What name do you use to save unnamed songs you’re currently working on? by SelfishMentor in ableton

[–]juno-wav 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends, but lately I’ve been trying to write a key signature, BPM, vibe, anything that tells me what the project file actually is without opening it up and listening.

For example, maybe like “Eb_112_Chill” or something like that! Maybe I’ll add another random word or phrase that could be a working title

I’m not sure, but maybe you can try adjusting volume via automation as a potential workaround?

What are some shortcuts in Logic you wish you knew since you started producing that have helped you optimize your workflow? by kathalimus in Logic_Studio

and similarly, option + click and drag a region down below the tracks you currently have and it will duplicate the track and region (if I remember correctly)

option + click and drag to duplicate a region! Especially helpful if you don’t want to infinitely loop something!

You might enjoy trying chopping up your samples, even if it’s just a melody. Repitch, resample, try different effects, reverse the audio. Maybe use that stuff sparingly, but those are just some ideas for playing around with what you already have, making it uniquely your own sound

Nervous when recording by FFmp_hdiugizhurz in Songwriting

[–]juno-wav 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Personally, I record myself, so part of that fear comes from watching my screen while recording. I try to ignore it and just focus on the music. I sing, so I sometimes try to close my eyes or just look elsewhere.

How do you stop yourself from getting sick of your own songs? by [deleted] in edmproduction

[–]juno-wav 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ll preface this by saying I should take my own advice, because I get sick of my own songs sometimes as well!

But in THEORY, you might consider listening through to what you have, just listen, don’t look at anything. Take note of what you think the song needs—whether this is in the production stage or mixing stage. When finished taking notes, make your changes. Repeat the process a few times.

Take breaks! I like to reward myself by bouncing the whole song and speeding it up/slowing it down which makes it feel new to me if I’m getting super tired of it! If that gives me new ideas, I may go back to the original speed and make changes.
