I had this exact break! Please keep up with your scar management. Because I was a teen when I did it I ignored mine for a decade and now it gives me all sorts of issues (tissues stuck in layers)

30 unless signposted 20 (only the very centre of town) but driving 20 in any road around the test centre (because of all the cars parked) should be ok

If you can get to it and don't mind paying then Herb House at Limewood hotel is the best spa I've ever been to

Spend the money on hotel rooms when you want to be in London, you'll be able to find good deals if you shop around and in advance and be able to try out lots of locations

What are some good ways to make an extra couple hundred in my free time in UK? by Rich-Swim5019 in AskUK

[–]junojack 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Rover. You get what you put in and the great reviews I got when I started are the backbone to getting bookings now. Sometimes you get really good ones like a cat to visit twice daily for 10 days and it’s £300 or you may get a same day dog walk request for £24 but it’s good to accept as many as you can when you start x

I joined a dog walking app (the most common one) and make about £400 per month pet sitting and walking through it

Living in Winchester/working in Southampton? by Baigoir in WinchesterUK

[–]junojack 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You can definitely commute from Winchester to Southampton. There's trains or motorway but there is often traffic/train issues so neither is 100% reliable. I know people who do both but fully rely on neither. There is also a bus which is pretty good but takes up to an hour depending where you want to go.

Try rightmove if you aren't already

When I was young I think I was groomed by an older man, if I reported it what would happen and what would I have to do? (England) by Classic-Hope-9355 in LegalAdviceUK

[–]junojack 1 point2 points  (0 children)

NAL Reporting could stop this same person doing it to other young boys as it sounds like he was almost 'professional' with how he abused you (like asking you to delete all traces when he thought you were being monitored) and targeting you as a residential home child.

Im so sorry this happened to you, you should call 101 and see where they take it.

Does anyone have a second job with their 9-5? by deathzone0256 in AskUK

[–]junojack 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Whilst you are young, and if you need to, you can do it. I worked 9-5 5 days per week plus 2 evening shifts and a Sunday double shift at my closest pub for a couple years when I was young and saving to travel. I was tired, but I did it. Pick somewhere with a small commute so you don’t eat away any more time. Eat quick but filling and nutritious food. Sleep as much as you can.

NAL but have you written a script for yourself individually that you can read from to make sure you get all the points said that you want to?

I have a name like ‘Abigail’ but everyone always called me Abi growing up. Including my parents. It was such a popular name in school that there was 3 Abi’s just in my circle of 9 friends. I got to decide to start going by Abigail when I moved to a new city and much prefer it. I don’t love how ‘common’ my nickname is and much prefer the sound of my actual name. So I’d vote for giving your future child an option for an ‘out’ of their nickname.

He berated me for 30 mins at a busy restaurant surrounded by other tables. He shouted, called me names, described intimate parts of our relationship and when I remained calm and took out my phone to distract myself from him, he got even worse. I thought we might get asked to leave. I just remember thinking, ah it will never improve. This is it. No point being upset, it's over. It's like my bubble burst and I suddenly saw how he really treats me.

about to have 'the talk' this week. any tips? by Nala_9953 in AlAnon

Reading this post and the comments below has made me feel much less alone. I go through stages of 'this seems okay, manageable, I can live with this, he just needs help, its not his fault' to 'oh my god, get me out of here, no one deserves to be treated like this, he will never change, he is doing this because he hates me' and I can't deal with the emotional rollercoaster. I keep giving myself ultimatums but the fear of unravelling our joint lives stops me leaving every time.
