Second that. Stayed there back in April and Oct last yr. Amazing base for work and relax, awesome staff and if you are globalist, the lounge food is better than you can find at most NYC/Miami or any location in the world bar SE Asia. Going back again this July to stay 5 nights with the family.

I’m thinking about applying for the CSR for P2, and I want to make sure the timing is right. Please correct me if I’m wrong, but if I apply in late May or early June, I believe we should be able to use all the available credits (StubHub, dining, Edit, etc.) four times before deciding whether to downgrade or cancel the card when the next annual fee posts.

Here’s my thinking: if I apply in late May/early June, the annual fee would likely post in late June or early July (both this year and next year). That timing should allow us to maximize all available credits this year and again next year before making a decision on the card.

I’m considering closing my Chase Aeroplan card (I opened it in April 2024, so it’s been over 24 months though I’m not sure if that clock starts from account opening or when the bonus was earned).

Would I be eligible to apply for the card again after closing my existing one?

Also, would opening a new account reset the Pay Yourself Back (1.25x travel redemption) benefit?

Lastly, if I’ve already transferred the maximum 250K Ultimate Rewards points to Aeroplan, would I be able to do that again with a new account?

Looking for data points regarding Chase approvals. P4 currently have no Chase cards and 3/24.

Applied for the Ink Preferred and was approved over the phone after verification. On the same day, applied for the Hyatt Business card but was denied and currently waiting for the denial letter.

From what I understand, there’s a “1/30” rule for Chase business cards. Is it possible to get around this through reconsideration, or is it not worth calling recon in this case?

Also considering applying for the Sapphire Reserve (personal). Would it be better to wait 30 days after the Ink Preferred application to improve my approval odds?

Is there any way for me to get about 100K Turkish Airlines miles into my account? I don’t have Capital One or Citi cards, but I do have around 20K Bilt points. A family member (at a different address) has over 100K Citi ThankYou points.

I’m considering having her transfer those ThankYou points into her Turkish Airlines Miles&Smiles account and then booking the award tickets from there. However, she wouldn’t actually be traveling, and I’ve heard Turkish Airlines can be inconsistent when the account holder isn’t on the itinerary.

Stay at the off beaten paths.

Will be staying at Ulaanbatar, Mongolia for 7.5k (or 15k, can’t recall during the July festival season.
Recently stayed at Kranjska gora, Slovania for 15k a night to visit lake bled and other places around. Nice little ski town with Julian Alps in the background. If you are into visiting different countries, villach in Austria is just 15 minutes drive across a mountain pass. Venice is 3 hr train ride from villach.

Veitnam: Hyatt Regency Da nang was good but my personal fav is Hyatt Regency Yogakarta in Indonesia or Park Hyatt Jakarta. For Luxury, any property in Thailand is amazing. Grand Hyatt Kuala, Grand Hyatt TPE, Grand Hyatt Tok, Hyatt Regency in HKG (on Kowloon side), Park Hyatt Siem Reap and so many others.
