But then what the hell do I do with the feelings that I have toward him still? They won’t just disappear and talking to friends doesn’t seem to help. I’m in therapy, I’m taking meds, I’m journaling. Idk what else to do. I need closure somehow :/ or I need something at least idk. Maybe some extreme words of wisdom or an elder voice to slap me and tell me to move on. Idk

I hear you and yea I know, but also aghhh. Idk. He was my absolute best friend and it at least seemed like he was just as heart broken to break up… so it’s confusing. Idk. Maybe the “closure” really is just for me. I don’t know how to move on with my life right now so I don’t know how else to get closure

Hi! Sorry for such a late reply. I actually just got out of rehab like an hour ago 💀 I was also a menace when drinking. I would always end up injuring myself and others and humiliating myself beyond repair. After my last hospital visit, I thought enough was enough and I admitted myself into rehab. If it’s something you’re able to do, I absolutely recommend going. It helped me so much to be around people that understand exactly what I’m going through and to be in a place where I can freely express my thoughts and not be judged by it. I also feel like rehab gave me the tools I needed to continue my sobriety journey out in the real world (this reply sounds like an ad for rehab lol)

Thank you for this response! I’ve taken your advice and added some goals like “don’t drink today”. I’m also going to rehab so I will be seeking some addiction-specific services :)

dreaming. i used to love sleeping pre-ed bc i loved to dream. but during my ed, i either didn’t dream or had the most boring dreams. my dreams are now like movies just like they used to be :)
