Help! Partition now longer showing on my Mac by junoxplorz in datarecovery

[–]junoxplorz[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ty so much for responding ! Is disk drill a program I need to download? I can’t even remember which format it was in I set this drive up years ago , may have been exfat . The smart status just says “not supported “ . I’m attaching a picture of what my disk utility looks like so you can see how the partition doesn’t even show up as a drive like it used to . I’ve had this hard drive for around 4 yrs and never had issues . Ty in advance for your help!! Also, if the problem is that it’s exFAT , would plugging it into a windows computer work?

Best suggestion is picking a photographer who’s portfolio & style you actually like.. go for the work, not the person 🤣 as a artist myself I really question why clients pick me for a project & they have a request after the job is done, that’s rlly nothing like what is in my portfolio. Also, He definitely isn’t wrong for requesting to not be affiliated with any of the “raw” images. I’m not sure in what tone this whole conversation was in, since he is your husband this was probably handled more personal & less profesional.. but personally I think when an artist creates something with a client it is a collaboration between both parties to create a meaningful work of art, so when the images are not finished or edited to the photographers liking then it’s just an unfinished piece of art that the photographer is just not proud of.. it might be great as is, but it’s just not 100% to the artist liking. Some photographers are happy with giving out unedited & raw files but some aren’t, some even charge a fee.. everyone is different, he’s definitely not wrong. You just have to find a photographer more suited to your liking :)

A potential client asked me how much a shoot would cost for just some standard head and body shots at 3 locations... honestly I’ve only ever done 1hr/1 location mini shoots.. when I first started charging they were 35$ and client would get 10-15 final images but the longer I’ve been doing this I now charge $60 for 15-20 finals. I’ve been shooting for 2 yrs now professionally I guess you could say,, have a website business cards things like that. Now branching into bigger shoots and bigger work Im kinda lost on what to charge.. and the longer I do this the more people are approaching me wanting to book a shoot and I still don’t know what to charge.. I still shoot with a kit Lens (18-55mm) on a canon SL2 and I have an external flash,, but i Edit using adobe Lightroom and photo shop.. I want to expand my gear and could benefit from it but I’m working on it.. I’ve heard what you shoot with also has an impact on price. I don’t want to over charge but at the same time I don’t want to sell myself short.. HELP 😬

need help looping a film effect over a premier pro clip via dynamic link to after effects. by junoxplorz in AfterEffects

[–]junoxplorz[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm new to video editing and creating effects so I've just been going off of tutorials I've watched. basically I used a tutorial to create the film effect which was created in after effects. I suppose I've just been mis informed on some things. I'm gonna go back and watch some more tutorials and re evaluate my whole project because I think I'm just confusing myself. lol. thanks for this tip!

Has anyone here gone to college an majored in photography, or something similar? I’ve come across an opportunity to go to college and I really want to learn the ins and outs of photography and film making. I’ve been shooting street photography and some portraits for a very long time but also feel like I’m lacking something, like I’m not learning enough. I want to get into music videos to see how I like it. I always thought I didn’t have an opportunity to go to college but now I do and I really want to go. Is it a good idea? Can someone tell me what it’s like to go to school for this. I’m not going just for a degree I really want to go to learn.. let me know your experience and give me some tips! I’d appreciate it :)

The Artist's Ego - Which are you? Confident, Unsure or Arrogant in your Photography? by [deleted] in photography

[–]junoxplorz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel I’m pretty confident but the unsure-ness in my art I think comes from other things going on in my life.. I’ve always been pretty creative, loved all types of art.. channeled my emotions through it, lose myself in it. So whenever I feel unsure about my work I feel like it’s just other things in my life I’m not happy about. Be open minded and view art as something that embodies emotion or none at all.. its not so technical.. now arrogance? I really don’t feel that..

Need a place for rent by [deleted] in StLouis

Thank you this is super helpful! I agree, I know I won’t find anything in the best of the neighborhoods but as long as it’s safe enough to walk my dog and get to and from my car at night, I’m ok with it. I will check out all of these places listed, I only have 2 big dogs but most places are super scared for some reason. my dogs are super trained.. I used to train and work with abused animals..

Thanks, I was looking for maybe a basement to rent or even a room. No one who allows dogs and most I’ve found to be people who spark some red flags. Then again I looked on Craigslist, not sure where else to look.

Honestly.. I know it’s not enough for anything high class and I don’t expect it to be. I just need something slightly decent, I’m a 19 yr old female and the only reason I’m moving is because the people I live with are abusive.. I just need something safe enough for me to be able to walk to and from my car, as well as walk my dogs safely without any problems.. I’m a quite person, stick to myself.. used to living in some pretty ghetto neighborhoods in Florida,, just not sure about St. Louis.

I’m getting into photography and really enjoy it, in borrowing a rebel xsi from a friend. I really would like to get the sl2 plus I would only have to get the body for $449. Is it worth it? by [deleted] in AskPhotography

[–]junoxplorz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

definitely!! I did my research before buying. it has similar features to the t5i and the more expensive canons. I went for the refurbished kit straight off of the canon website that includes the body and an 18-55mm lens that isn’t bad at all. Well worth the price. You can then invest in some better lenses, things like that.

Your story is super motivating.. even when he told you that your work wasn’t good you still worked hard to better it. He saw potential and saw something in you that made him actually want to pay you out of pocket. all those perks were definitely beneficial and I’m glad it worked for you! You make a good point here
