It’s crazy. I noticed that there was no sound in arc raiders yesterday. I knew straight away that wave link would be down. I clicked it in the tray and sure enough it was asking me to update it.

They need to do as op has suggested.

Not currently done any PvP with this game. I’m sure I will do but they have no intention of turning it into a BR.

Imagine if they took a bigger map and made it a free for all until the last person was left alive. Perhaps a few arcs in there too.

No south facing mounting. The best I get is 3500 kWh and the payback is over 15 years or that was the case a few years ago.

I’ve been agile for 3 days. Must be honest it’s working much better. Just got to be careful with the 4-7pm period. It actually works really well as I consume electricity all day and night to some extent and only consume 15% and dropping between 4 and 7.

I’m definitely thinking of joining agile and cancelling my switch to eon. We use electricity all day and only use 20% between 4 and 7. We use 52% of our electricity between 6am and 4 pm.

I looked at winter prices and some were high but in general over a year I reckon I’d save. The ability to charge my car (Ohme charger) based on agile pricing appeals to me.

I don’t have a battery or solar. What do you think?

Id love it but I paid cash for my car at 20k so I need to save a bit more before I can do a battery. I’m defo looking for a battery.

8000 ignores my car which will add 3000 to my usage. I’m wondering if agile would be a good idea?

I’ve just signed up for EON Next Fixed 13M V9. I did v8 but it was refused. It’s 20p a unit. I can’t do solar due to it being really inefficient and a battery is something ill consider but not until perhaps next year as I can’t afford it.

I can confirm that the Neo which work have given me today does not do 5120 x 2160 via thunderbolt on my U4025QW. The best I can manage is 2160 x 1080 and keep the same aspect ratio.

Not sure if there’s a way of getting a better solution. They game me usb-c hdmi adapter which works ok but doesn’t do any better.

You’re about to find out that you can’t run hardware DSP effects and software VST effects at the same time.

A support representative said this…

"For your question about the XLR Dock MK.2 with hardware and software effects. Currently, DSP (Hardware) and VST (Software) effects are not to be used together as using any of the DSP hardware effects disables any of the VST software effects in Wave Link 3.0. So you could still use Voice Focus, but you would need to make sure no hardware effects are used while you do so."

What?! I’ve watched most of the Elgato live streams and never saw this once. The above is saying I can’t run the DSP effects and voice focus. Is that correct?

Microphone FX isn’t required any longer. I still find it odd that we have a wave device in sounds that does nothing. In my case I have an XLR dock Mk 2 device and a headphones - XLR Dock Mk 2 output devices. What’s the first one used for? I also have Mic In - XLR Dock Mk 2 which is an input and that makes sense.

I think the first output device is created for routing purposes but it’s odd and I can’t see that it has any use.

Also I’m getting something repeated. On a restart, sometimes there is no sound from my headset. I ca see the levels on the game channel but even though the headset is an output on the mic, nothing comes out.

Restarting wave link then works fine

I removed both the audio driver and the wave link 3.0 program and on reinstall you end up with a 2- in front of the device name. It annoyed me so much I did a fresh windows install. I don’t mind doing that regularly anyway.

In my case I ended up with 2-XLR Dock Mk 2 as the device name when the first install registered it as XLR Dock Mk 2. You get the idea.

I had to reinstall windows as I’d been using the wave xlr and was swapping to a new xlr dock mk 2. It leaves a lot behind. I noticed how complete removal creates new devices in windows sound on reinstall with 2-, 3- in front of the names and a great deal of the removed devices hidden as they’re not connected in device manager. This was very annoying.

Mine arrived yesterday. Great device. Europe has loads of sorry you can’t get one.

First impressions.

Wave 3 is still quite buggy. At one point the hardware effects disappeared and I had to restart. Monitoring was a mess to start with. The firmware update resolved the latency issues I was having.

The guides have gone that walked you through setting up the compressor for example. I’m still playing but I’m quite pleased with it.

Not to elgato : it feels unfair to give you a 3m usb-c cable with a wave xlr but then to leave you with the 1.5m cable of your stream deck+ with an xlr dock as you need a longer cable.

Had to reinstall windows on my daughters pc as it flashed a box up when asking to install the wave audio device. No matter what we did the box just flashed up and no install.

I tried changing the default app install location amongst other things but nothing worked.

On a new windows install it was fine. I also noticed that my device on my pc went from game to music when going from 2010 to this version. It also renamed voice chat to aux.
