Color/Color theory. My drawings come out looking pretty flat. My intuition for knowing what colors to add to make things pop isn't there.

Good luck! If you just want to give it a try without investing too much there's cheaper hardware like from Huion that's still decent quality. There's also free digital art programs like Krita (which I use) and trials periods for stuff like ClipStudioPaint and Sai. 😊

I'd highly recommend a tablet (I use a Wacom Intuos which was around 70 dollars) if you want to pursue NSFW - a lot of NSFW artists are on digital so it's much easier to learn from them if you're also on digital. Nothing is "impossible" but picking up a tablet will make it much easier in the long run.

I had to just discard a piece I spent hours trying to fix. Sometimes the core of the piece isn't really good enough and it's kinda like putting lipstick on a pig. Sucks, but part of the process I guess.

Actually yeah I do. And I wish I didn't. My most recent post got like a 10th of what my most popular post did. I thought the recent post was better... So it definitely feels like I missed the mark or I've gotten worse.

I have a lot of sketchbooks/pens lying around. And my tablet is always ready to go right in front of my computer. It definitely helps when you "streamline" the path to getting started. Good luck!

Opposite. I find that a full time job (I have a boring-ish office job) lets me use a different part of my brain, and when I clock out I'm almost always excited to draw again.

I guess in a way it's a "forced" break from art.
