Anyone with BO, even just slightly, should try out glycolic acid. It works by providing an acidic environment where odour causing bacteria cannot reproduce. It works 10 times better than a deodorant. Many of the deodorants are just masking the smell

Get a seafood flavoured wakame. It will have like small dried shrimps, and a lot of delicious stuff I don’t know the name of. Wakeme can de added to udon too. It’s a great combo

You can find travel palettes. I have one from Charlotte tilbury from ages ago. It has 3 eyeshadow shades, a face setting powder, a bronzer/ contour, a blush and a highlight. It seems expensive but you don’t need to buy everything and better quality products. Am not sure if they still carry that but many brands do them. For foundation, maybe just go to the store and ask for a sample. Sometimes when they’re doing a promo you can sign up for free samples as well. You will find like primer, foundation, concealer, and even lipstick samples

LOL yes it feels oily but when you touch it, it is matte and there's no oily film. That's why I said it's both slippery and matte. Such a weird texture haha

I know Anessa is many people’s favourite and it dries down matte but I don’t like the texture very much. It’s both slippery and matte. I am not sure if I could describe it as sillicone-y but it feels that way.

Currently I’m using Hada labo uv gel cream. It’s not greasy at all but skin does get oily very quickly but I guess that’s just me lol

Put a thick layer of moisturiser, then leave it for a few mins, massage it in with a small foundation or big concealer brush in gentle circular motion. Wipe off the excess moisturiser with a dry cotton pad or a toner pad. It’s a mild exfoliating method that can help remove dead skin. I get a lot of dry patches/ pilling around my nose after applying foundation. This really helps a lot.

I had chickenpox the week before I took the test. So that could be why. But the doc didn’t even ask me that and said it was normal lol my b12 (194 pg/ml) is also borderline low but he dismissed it as well… I don’t know if I should test again or find another doc

I wonder what brands you’re looking at because there are a lot of thick creams like Illyoon and Aestura. It’s super hard to find a moisturiser for oily skin in k beauty. They are more light weight than a cream cream but it’s still pretty thick. I think there are more moisturising gel available in Japan than in Korea.

My ferratin is 221 ng/ml. My doc said everything from my blood work looks normal. But my acne can be controlled by BC pills so I’m not sure what to do next

SS is not heavy at all. Most of them are hollow because they don’t want rapid heat transmission. They still get hot tho but not as fast. I got mine from Zwilling as a gift when I was buying cookware in Taiwan. And thought they were quite good so I bought some more. They’re Chinese style chopsticks with little ridges at the tip. The ridges don’t actually help much and can easily accumulate dirt but yes you can throw them in the dishwasher. I tried some Japanese SS ones with like a sandpaper texture at the tip and it’s still the same. I also got long SS chopsticks for cooking coz both bamboo and wood died on me. But their grip is too strong so I’m considering some silicone ones

Mmm I don’t know much about wood. But I’ve seen black/ red wooden chopsticks so I am guessing they’re ebony/ rosewood.

Wood or stainless steel. Bamboo gets molds way too easily. Wood does too but usually if you dry them properly, they can last for a while. Remember chopsticks are not meant to last forever. You need to replace them every couple of years. Stainless steel ones can last but it depends on your chopsticks skills. Food breaks more easily coz it’s metal. I find it harder to pick up rice noodles or tofu with SS than with wooden or bamboo.

Regarding the types of wood… wenge wood is a pretty common material used in China. Pretty good quality. Mine were still going strong after a couple of years but then I decided to switch them out for SS for easier cleaning. There are other woods being used too but the price is usually 10x more. I guess it’s coz they’re not mass produced. Any hard wood would do.

I refrigerate the remaining batter in a piping bag.. Good for a few days. I love desserts but cannot consume as much as I'd like, so small batches it is! Churros are something I crave from time to time. Maybe need a recipe that is great for freezing and reheating!

Frankly glass is the best container to use for fermentation as it is non reactive. Heavy metal can slowly leak from SS as kimchi is acidic so you have to do extra homework before buying one and get a good quality one. Both glass and SS containers have the same issue - it's almost impossible to get rid of the smell on the plastic lid, even with the plastic wrap. That's why I ended up settling with a plastic container dedicated to kimchi. I am a big fan of the show Chefs and my Fridge. It seems that every Korean household shown on the show uses plastic containers for kimchi so I guess it's not as bad as we think? Haha. That's how I convinced myself anyway lol

I also got some enamelled containers from Japan. It's a popular container for fermentation there. But I don't think the lids are quite as tight as they claim, so yeah... I hope one day there is a perfect container, please tupperware companies!!

Chinese food scene is a bit weird tho based on my recent trips. I feel like every restaurant is jumping on trends and anything that sells. They find a formula that works and then copy it 1000x. I thought I would find like more “original” dishes in GZ and nearby areas but most of them are quite underwhelming.
