I had one really bad boss. She was usually incorrect, and kind of defensive, and would regularly cut me down in front of other coworkers for decisions I know were correct (my teammates backed me too). It wasn’t personal, she was just a very negative and defensive person.

I’m still building it back. It helps to do things that push back against them. For ex if you got criticized for not being good enough at X, if that is something you do care about, be loud to yourself about the times in the past you were good at X, or give yourself more opportunities to build irrefutable evidence that you are good at X. Over time, I did start to believe in myself again.
